Welcome to Summerwind located at 1025 New York Avenue in Historic Cape May, New Jersey. This classic cedar shake five bedroom home has three full bathrooms and sleeps up to fourteen guests. Cape May’s beaches and beachfront promenade are only a short 5 minute two-and-a-half block walk away from the property.On the first floor you have a large covered front porch, two living rooms, a dining room, updated kitchen, laundry room, and full bathroom. The second floor has four bedrooms and one full bathroom. The 1st bedroom has one king-size bed, the 2nd bedroom one queen-size bed, the 3rd bedroom one queen-size bed, and the final bedroom on the second floor has two bunk beds (4 single-size beds). The third floor has an open dormitory bedroom layout with two queen-size beds and a full bathroom. There is a pull-out queen-size sofa bed on the first floor for extra sleeping space.Outside there is an enclosed outdoor shower and a gas BBQ grill in the fenced in backyard. There is stacked off-street parking with room for three vehicles. Additional street parking is non-metered along both sides of New York Avenue. This new rental is in the process of being renovated for the 2023 rental season and is in the finishing phases; photos are current as of February 9th, 2023. Property amenities including bed sizes and amenities are up to date and consider the renovations being done at the property. Remaining work to be done is largely finish work, adding a window to third floor bathroom, and cosmetic. Prior to the rental season there will be picnic tables and outdoor seating.This property does not provide blankets, linens, bath towels, or beach towels. Guests will need to bring all blankets/linens for their stay or rent them through a local linen rental service. There are pillows at the property and the both the pillows and mattresses are covered with protective covers. There are six beach chairs at the property and two beach wagons to use for transporting beach items during your stay.All reservations will have a $65 Processing Fee and $1,250 refundable security deposit applies to their lease; the security deposit cannot be paid by a credit card. The cleaning fee is included within the rental amount for stays 7 nights or longer, there is a $200 cleaning fee for any stays under a week's length of time that will be applied to any partial week bookings. Check in is 4PM, check out is 10am, and are handled by Coastline Realty. Each reservation includes a $65 processing fee, a refundable security deposit of $1,250 as part of the lease agreement. After placing a reservation you will be contacted with the lease and booking information within 24 hours by Coastline Realty to review and confirm your booking. The cleaning fee is included within the rental amount for stays 7 nights or longer, there is a $200 cleaning fee for any stays under a week's length of time that will be applied to any partial week bookings. Great week

We had a wonderful week at Summerwind. Everyone in our party (3 grandparents, 4 adults, 5 kids under 7) really enjoyed the home and location. The adults all commented on how the house was even better than the photos! We had a rainy week, so having a few different hang out rooms turned out to be important. And the adults were all impressed with how well stocked the house and especially the kitchen was. Would stay again for sure!
