âWhen we was checking in the front desk staff was great, very friendly. I did fall for the up sale to a suite from a standard room and I can say I'm happy I did. The suite was awesome, very spacious, two large screen tv's with an extra large balcony overlooking the atrium. There are multiple bars, restaurants and stuff to do within the facility. âVery close to the Gaylord convention center and the Waterfront area with many restaurants. Parking is a bit pricey at $24/night. No fridge in the room. Breakfast was good.â

One of the best offerings is a shuttle can take you to MGM, Outlets and National Harbor, from 7 AM to 1030 PM (I was told not 1045). But these areas are very close, about 1-2 miles. Parking is free, right next to highway.â
âThe Heron is a beautiful hotel. We stayed in the Heron King, and were very impressed. The bathroom, with real marble tile, a beautiful shower, and the provided soaps and lotions were amazing. We loved the Heron theme, down to the clothes closet with heron print, heron robe to use and even heron drink coasters. Rooftop bar is a MUST, we had cocktails there with a great view of the city. Ate breakfast in the Kiln, was awesome, with good sized portion, lots of bacon and really good sour dough...
âQuiet comfortable room with lots of space. Just a short walk to old town for sit down dining. Also very close to Harris Teeter and Trader Joe's for snacks. The bakery in the building has croissants to die for and some GF options. The staff is certainly top notch. â

âThis is me and my wife's favorite place to stay when we want a staycation. The mixologist on staff is amazing (if you are into mixed drinks), and the hotel is so close to many of our favorite restaurants in the area. So walkable, yet off the beaten path. As a lover of books, getting to take books home is a bonus. We stay here at least 2 times a year.â

âAlthough first impressions of tattered entry rugs, the hotel was welcoming. The staff were friendly and accmmodating, The evening started with a complimentary drink (either sangria or an old fashioned). Being directly on King street , it allowed for easy walking to the waterfront, restaurants and pubs. The free King street trolley was an added bonus. Our room was clean and comfortable â

Suggestions for improvement: Overnight parking is very tight; I wish the spaces were a little bigger (and safer) I wouldnât mind paying a little more. Also No closet hanging space or bathroom fans. â
