Property was great overall. Very clean, well maintained. Views from the porch and master bedroom were incredible - we spent one evening on the back porch watching an intense Florida thunderstorm roll in and all the action involved at the marina. Short stroll to the beach, tennis courts, and pool - and Doc Ford's and Starbucks are also walking distance.
Only complaints were that the local pool wasn't properly maintained and was not swimmable, but that isn't the fault of the owner, and the showers were pretty small (and a bit outdated).
Also, be aware that if you go in the summer, the type of sand on Captiva beaches gets extremely hot - more so than others. Foot coverings are a must - even with my flip flops on the sand getting under my toes in the afternoon was hot enough to burn.
We saw manatees. Live starfish, sand dollars, dolphins, sand dollars, and tons of beautiful shells. We even saw osprey, rabbits, and iguanas as well - tons of amazing local sea and land wildlife. A trip we won't forget - I always enjoy the Sanibel/Captiva area.
