Sunsets and Storms

The title of this property leads one to believe that the deck is an outstanding place from which to watch a sunset. No argument there from us. However, we suggest that it is an even better place from which to watch an Oklahoma thunderstorm. Unfortunately, while the storms were outstandingly dramatic, the water level in the lake prevented us from doing one of the two things we really wanted to do, that is, fishing. We did get the second item on our agenda accomplished, however, as that was resting. We came away from the house, more rested than we have been in a very long time.We do suggest that you bring binoculars and a bird book, as there is a variety of our feathered friends in the area.We have rated our stay a four star instead of five, because we found upon our arrival, that the house was two levels, a fact, which is not mentioned in the description. As we are seniors, that is something that is a great importance to us. Stairs become a challenge when one is unsteady on one’s feet, which we seniors tend to be. There are no handrails on the inside or outside steps, which would be extremely helpful and alleviate the concerns of this safety conscious couple.Alex was most gracious and easy to work with, and we recommend this property for families with children. Thank you, Alex for a very relaxing place to be.The photos are of some of the locations around Lake Eufaula after the storms. Picnic or frisbee golf anyone?

Weekend Getaway

My husband and I had an amazing time while staying at this property. It was stocked with everything we needed, clean and cozy. The deck overlooking the lake was perfect. It definitely does not disappoint and truly has the "Best sunset on the Lake"

Birthday Weekend - NO Better View

Had a great time here! The view is amazing, sun sets over the water, and you can sit in the deck and enjoy it! The private dock/boat slip was nice. No complaints!

First time for us

They made the living room and kitchen nice. But the rest of the house and the outside was not great. And the dock needs a lot of work. The walkway to the dock was full of spiders and spiderwebs. We went there to fish off the dock. Did not enjoy that part at all. And the bathroom. The shower is terrible. The knob is broke so you have to turn the who part to get the water to come on and you barely get it to the temp you want and then it turns cold so you have to turn it off and wait awhile and let it get hot again and start the process over, it was not good at all. They need to do some work on that bathroom. Since this was our first time do people have to clean before they leave. They sent me an email and told me to start the dish washer and throw all the trash out into the dumpsters outside and don't worry about the bedding they had cleaning people to do that. I didn't know when had to clean house before leaving. Please let me know if this is how things are done on all rentals.

Great Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and relaxing. It was close enough to town that we could go when needed but still very secluded. I would defiantly stay here again.

Fantastic lake property

We had the best time. We spent the whole day at the dock fishing. There is cornhole and a grill. Photos show a propane grill but it is charcoal so we ran to town to get some charcoal to cook dinner. House is neat, well kept and well stocked. The only issue we had was the master bedrooms bed was incredibly uncomfortable (which is totally subjective) and every time either my husband or i rolled over it creaked and would wake everyone up. Outside of that, this house is a dream. Host was very responsive and accomodating.

Memory Lane with Family

Short stay visiting kids/grandkids in a beautiful home (right next door where i grew up....great memories). Location, owners and home made our trip so much easier, memorable and perfect for our get together. Highly recommend and will hopefully stay again.

Absolutely Horrible

The pictures do not match the property as things do not match. I feel scammed for the price paid. Interior is infested with bugs and the house is not maintained. Family had allergy issues in this house as the furnace filter has not been changed in years. Most things are broken or missing parts. Furniture broken, Foosball table missing ball and table is broken. No kayaks, gas grill or bean bags. Parts of the deck is broken and unsafe. The pictures must be 5 years old and/or hide many things. Do not stay here unless you want to be disappointed.

Beautiful Views on the Lake

This lake property accommodated our family of four for a long weekend. The layout was good for a family, A/C kept us cool, and the floor plan is open. There is only one smaller bathroom so you need to be willing to share. The owners are very attentive and helped us address some issues we had during our stay. Being close to the water does bring critters so keep that in mind when you are looking to stay on the waterfront.

Great Getaway!

This was a great house for a weekend getaway!!! We met friends and family for the weekend! The boat dock was great for our friend's boat. We rented jet skis from Fountainhead Marina which is straight across the lake from the house! The location of the house is perfect because it's between Checotah (WalMart), and Eufaula (fun shopping, Yogi Bear Resort, food, etc). We will definitely be back!

Relaxing, beautiful views

Property was as described, beautiful wrap around deck. All the basic amenities were there, beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked good even on 100+ days. The small lake at the entrance to the neighborhood was also convenient to launch kayaks (brought our own) and swim.

Beautiful view, porch was great.

The view was beautiful, couldn’t ask for a better morning spot. The house it very cozy, my family loved laying around after a day on the lake. They had basic dishes and pans. The parking might be difficult if you have more then one vehicle or trailer, but still manageable. The cabin is in a great location for traveling to and from town with vehicles.
