The place is generally very nice: nice fixtures and layout. the furniture in the living room is very comfy (unusual for STR), we all slept great in the beds/sheets. Something to know, this place is four stories. Garage 1st fl, kitchen/living rm& powder rm 2nd, 2 br joined by bathroom on 3, large br/bath on 4. my parents struggled with the stairs due to their age. also, somewhat expected in the city but vanburen seems to be the preferred route for ambulance/fire trucks. white noise machines helped but didnt fully mask sirens. The cooking accoutrements were pretty minimal if you’re actually trying to cook. a welcome sheet with instructions would be helpful. There are some things about the rental that were not intuitive (garbage disposal switch under sink, random light switch apparently powers dishwasher, wifi login, instructions for 4th fl shower, access to locked dumpsters, hvac info for 3 thermostats to keep all floors a reasonable temp etc) and required us to reach out to the owner. he was EXTREMELY responsive; always responding within minutes, I just really hate to bother ppl. the place could use a good handyman, various small things that could be fixed to make the place feel more luxe/in line w/ the price point.
