The Milner York
Staff excellent from check to departure. Arrived early so went to reception just expecting to register the car park but room was ready which was a bonus. Great meal in peacheys in the evening followed by a quality breakfast the following morning.

Great hotel. Stayed here on a solo travel trip. Relaxing bar in the lobby and close to the main shopping/bar areas in York. Would stay here again.

Goodramgate Apartments
You cannot get more central in York. And probably not more noisy. Well equipped apartment but you could hear the neighbours 24/7. Slightly off putting. But the staff and location is almost worth the noise. We shall return. And opt for a bigger flat next time.

![Old Manor House site, Topcliffe Known as Manor Hills or Cock Lodge, this is the site of a medieval manor house belonging to the Percys. The view shows the outer ditch and bank in the foreground with the inner ditch [moat] and bank beyond. The conical mound was the site of a windmill. The manor is thought to have been erected in the 13th century and was described as 'ruinous' in a survey of the estate in 1577.
