“We stayed here for 5 days. It it felt like home and was very close to all the locations to see in Williamsburg it was very nice inside and out. It has all the amenities that you would probably have at your house. All the VRBO reviews on its location we're very helpful and honest. Local brewery just down the street Frothy Moon that place good also. We will book again here if ever in the area on vacation.”

“We took our twin daughters up for a few days to have fun at Busch Gardens. This house was perfect for everything that we wanted! The girls each took a friend, so the 4 girls took over the bedrooms upstairs. We mostly ate at the house & the fully was more stocked than I expected!I don’t even know if I can list any constructive criticism. I was a perfect 3 night get away ”

“The River House at Claremont was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. I am a huge Gone With the Wind fan and this property brought you back to the South prior to the Civil War all we needed were ball gowns to make it really authentic. The house was well appointed with the necessaries (toilet paper, tissues, and toiltetries). In addition the kitchen pantry had salt, pepper, flour and other staples. The interior of the house is amazing with much of the furniture handmade by the owner...

“We had a lovely stay in Deena’s cottage. The cottage was super convenient to the car ferry, and we took many fun trips into Williamsburg and Jamestown with the kids. We enjoyed the private slice of beach right outside the cottage and kayaking with the kids in the river. Deena was incredibly communicative and knowledgeable and the check-in/out process was seamless. The cottage was well-appointed and the kitchen well-stocked and had everything we needed. Staying at this historic property added so much charm to our vacation which included Jamestown and Williamsburg. We enjoyed taking the ferry each day and found this property to be in a great location. ”

“The host who owns the property was excellent, responsive, and easy to work with. The check-in process was a bit cumbersome as the resort is managed by Hilton and the reservation didn't come up right away because I made the plans through VRBO. When check-in was complete, they sent me over to a salesperson to try and get me to sign on for a promotional extra night and listen to their sales pitch. I don't hold the VRBO host responsible for this, though. :)The space was really nice. We only...

“The house was just as advertised. Back yard was great for our dog.Home was clean and everything worked. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and not the most convenient location, but I never felt unsafe and it was quiet.”

“Our family had all gathered in Petersburg to lay one of our family members to rest in the community they grew up in. None of us lived in Petersburg so we opted to find a place large enough to hold our entire family. The place is most suitable for adults and there are stairs to get to any of the bedrooms or bathrooms so be sure you can walk up and down stairs. ”

“The home was very comfortable for 5 of us with room to spare. Located in a friendly small town. Many extras included. There are many activities for kids. Our grandchildren had a great time, they would have liked to just stay at the property!. The ferry to Jamestown is very convenient and there is much to see on that side. We also visited the town of Smithfield which is only 20 minutes away. We were looking for a nice slow and relaxing pace and found it. ”
