“My Friends and I stayed at Cosgrove Cottage over the weekend just gone, and it was nothing short of magical. The setting is simply beautiful, right on the edge of the Forest. The marketing photos do not do it justice, you have to see it to believe it. The presentation of the actually property was immaculate and the Owners were very possibly the nicest people I have ever met. Warm, welcoming and extremely accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The Tour of the Grounds was informative but...

“Two adults stayed. Used both bedrooms. Very hot but able to open windows. Enjoyed the upstairs outside deck when we were there. Useful having washing machine. Plenty of street parking, but tight spaces & don’t rely on parking directly outside. Bathroom tiny but fit for purpose. Easy walk to beach front. Thank you ”

“Enjoyed our stay, cottage is welcoming and attention to detail appreciated. Very clean and everything you need is thought of. Garden is nice and well kept. Only down side is having no parking, but owner has arranged parking at nearby water park, but this was a little problematic for us. There is quite a bit of road noise as it’s on a relatively busy road, but maybe we notice it more as we live in a very rural location with no traffic and are not used to it. But would def stay again, thank you....

“It was clean and well stocked. Hosts were very kind and friendly. Would go back and stay again in my next trip to the Uk”

“We needed a property big enough to accommodate 13 people and Bellropes was perfect. Great kitchen, big enough to seat everyone and fully equipped with everything we needed. Garden was huge and being able to get to the beach was an added bonus, if a little further away than the 5 minutes stated.Would definitely recommend for large families wanting a homely place to get-together.Garde ”

“This property was basic but perfectly comfortable and in a stunning location! The lane to the property was very over geown and unfortunately my husbands car (which has low clearance) was unable to get down it. But the owner soon dorted an alternative for us. The neighbours ford focus had bo problems so i would say this wont be a problem for most! Access down to views over the estuary and walks from the house was great. No wifi but perfectly good signal for 4g - or a good excuse to go off grid....

“The host of this home was very responsive. This home was just as described and look just like the pictures. Our kids enjoyed the game room in the back garden. All the local pubs were within walking distance in the water was also a nice walk. Everyone in the town is very friendly. One night we were late to town and all the pubs had closed and we had to cook in the kitchen and had everything we needed. The weather was lovely and we had take out from the nearest pub and dined outside in the garden...

“A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Christina was a a welcoming and brilliant host and it’s clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into the cottage which has everything you’d need but more than that has some great touches to make it extra special. The village is quiet and peaceful with lovely walks and pubs nearby and is situated in an ideal place for visiting lots of sights and experiences of Suffolk. All-in-all, we couldn’t recommend Potts Cottage enough. We’ll certainly be back!...

“Very well appointed and located - pretty wrap around garden with sun at different times of day- close to jetty where grandsons loved crabbing and yummy unpretentious seafood restaurants.Only reservation for some could be 2 flights of steep stairs to 2 of 3 bedrooms with only bathroom and loo downstairs— but cottage dates from 1575 so don’t expect en-suites! - what you do get is character and comfort. ”

“First impression - "Wow, this is nice!" This continued throughout our stay. This feels like a home, not a holiday rental. Somebody cares about it. There was nothing we didn't like, but we were especially impressed by Helen's clear, helpful and comprehensive notes that she provided both before we arrived and within the property. We have stayed in over 50 holiday homes and rate this at the top of our list of favourites. ”

"Läget mitt i Colchester är bekvämt, det är nära till allt. Men det ligger också precis där det är som mest livat på kvällarna, framförallt i veckosluten, och då är det mins sagt högljutt utanför. Det var högsommarvärme under vår vistelse, och eftersom det inte fanns någon ventilation alls var det otroligt varmt i rummet. Det fanns en bordsfläkt, men vi var tvungna att ha minst ett fönster öppet för att få in friskluft, vilket gjorde att allt partyljud utifrån hördes mycket väl och gjorde det svårt att somna. Det var discodunk och högljudda människor flera timmar efter midnatt. Vi rekommenderar andra hotell med mer skyddat läge."

"Fina och trevliga rum med bra standard till ett väldigt bra pris inkl. frukost. Det fanns AC på rummen vilket var extra skönt eftersom det var varmt, vi bodde där en kort tid så struntade vi i den vardagliga städningen. Men rummen var rena och fina när vi kom så vi kan rekommendera det hotellet som också hade en egen bar i receptionen. Det enda som vi saknade på rummen var handukshängare, svårt att få handukarna torra efter en dusch."
