“It is now three days since we left the marvellous Casa dos Francehlos in Funchal. We were 4 couples who stayed there for one week and had a very pleasant time there. “The home is high on a hill, modern and very clean. The pool is wonderful and a perfect temperature. We stayed for 1 month. Beatrice met us at the house and responded to our questions quickly. The cleaning crew came in once a week which was fantastic We were not prepared for how steep and narrow the roads were in our area, but it appears to be the norm. My husband eventually became an expert driver. Madeira is a wonderful place to visit. We are happy we chose An Island Apart. ”

“Our family of 10 enjoyed our stay at this house. It is massive with room for everyone to spread out. The kids loved having room to run around outside and were thrilled with the trampoline and pool table. The pool is not heated, so it was a bit chilly during our stay in early May, but the kids still took a dip. The hot tub was lovely. The view was the best part. Absolutely stunning view of the ocean. “We had a wonderful stay in Casa Petronella. We celebrate my birthday and was 8 adults and 4 children ( 8, 6, 3 and 0 years old).Lots of space and a lovely pool. We get it heat to 26 degrees because it was in february and it was nice and the children could stay very long in the pool. Close to Funchal and beatyful in the evening with all lights on the mountain. We Rent cars and that is nesseserly if you dont want to walk long. Petronella was very helpfull and Madeira amazing. “We celebrated my moms 75th birthday. Her bucket list consisted of seeing Portugal where her family was from. We started our vaca in Madeira at this beautiful home. It was spacious, clean and a perfect place for family to gather. We felt safe and truly enjoyed all the amenities... the work out room, pool table and pool. The host was easy to talk to and very accommodating. Truly appreciate the opportunity to rent your space. I would recommend for sure!”

“Would definitely recommend staying in this property! Done to a very high standard and very clean. Easily walkable to the centre of Funchal, approx 10 mins downhill. Host communicated well and parking on site within our own garage. Nice area around the pool. And provided with a small package of essential foods on arrival. Brilliant stay! ”
