“We stayed in a glass igloo. It was expensive, but not as expensive as the Ice Hotel on the other side of the river. There's a tiny loo in the pod, but your knees hit the wall while sitting there doing your thing. Hot showers in a separate building. Even though it was a clear night (-32C), we didn't see the Aurora - but that's not Aurora River Camp's fault! ”

“A really great place to stay. This is a tiny house that is equipped with the most important things in a beautifully minimalistic manner without a lot of frills. The washrooms are in the main building, about 15 meters away, which is the only negative point. But if you can overlook it, you shouldn't miss it. It is located on the outskirts of Kiruna, which is why it is very quiet, especially at night. I haven't slept so well in a long time.”

The isolation and peace on a private lake, with just ourselves and nature, meant that we were able to completely forget about everyday life and focus on what is important in life.”
