“Amazing hotel. Room was lovely, but the amenities are where this hotel really shines. The mineral pools and sauna overlooking the ocean are incredible. We were lucky enough to spot a pod of orcas swimming by! Amazing experience ”

“The Empress is just what one would expect from this very special chain of hotels - elegant, historic, classy, with excellent staff (particularly in the Gold level). Sometimes, hotels are simply locations which one uses as a base for activities; although the Empress was at the centre of activities, the lounges were so inviting and relaxing that we had to question whether we just wanted to sit and relax or go sightseeing; we ended up going out a little less and sitting back and doing nothing just...

“I loved the location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was grateful for the valet parking as the hotel is not in a safe area at this time. The hotel did not email me a copy of the invoice as they said they would. Overall it's a convenient place to stay”

“The hotel was VERY nice, as was the staff. We had a drafty window on the second floor, but that was literally our only minor complaint. Everything was lovely and we would absolutely stay here again. The area is fantastic; there is a lot to do and feels generally safe.”
