âWent here 2017 and fell in love. This time it seems like this hidden gem is no longer hidden, since there were a lot of foreign tourists. But that seems to have given an extra boost! It seems like many aspects has improved, like another outdoor onsen on floor 5 that is fantastic, a small souvenir shop as well as swapping to a buffet style breakfast.

âMy partner and I are experienced travelers, but unfortunately, we found this hotel to be quite disappointing considering its price. Hereâs why:
âą Our room wasnât cleaned when we returned at 5 pm. Surprisingly, the reception staff claimed that we had declined cleaning for environmental reasons, even though no one asked us during check-in. We had to request them to at least clean the garbage, change the towels and give us two bottles of water (seems like greenwashing).

âReally wonderful hotel with private natural osen (in the suite we had). The public osen was also very nice with all the amenities. Dinner and breakfast was served very much like a 5star restaurant, but very traditional Japanese so that is something you have to like. The hotel is very old, boasting as one of the oldest, so itâs pretty authentic so is a bit musty in the common areas. However our room didnât smell musty and was very clean and felt new. We loved the natural Osen. Would visit again...
âVery attentive service and gourmet meals. A quiet hotel with a spacious room that hosted my wife, myself, and our 2 young adult children with sufficient privacy. The private onsen was spectacular, as was the little protected outdoor deck.â
âA nice ryokan with superfriendly staff. Beautiful private onsens and fine dinner in the afternoon. The rooms was old and worn out but very big. I missed some type of shop for late night snacks or something, but overall a very great experience. Will definitely come back to this place.â
