Amenities could have been better. No trash bags, refrigerator ice maker didn’t work, and the a/c in the living room never worked. We called Lyman but no one ever came.

great for family

This house was a lovely place for a family reunion. We had lots of space and the pool table and ping pong were great for indoor fun. We enjoyed breakfasts on the balcony, overlooking the beach, however the road noise is fairly loud as the street is a main arterial. There was plenty of parking and the house was stocked with everything you needed - towels, beach gear, and all the necessary kitchen goods. From the photos, we thought the hot tub would be in the backyard, but it's in the front yard with the traffic noise, so isn't as private as we thought. We loved the proximity to the beaches and th downtown Kona.

The house was a great size and location, and having a pool and ping-pong table was awesome! We also appreciated that the grill was clean and in working order. A few downsides though: the floors were not clean; one of the rooms had a moldy odor and really aggravated one guests allergies; the house is a bit porous (the screens had gaps), so there were geckos living inside and our teen found a huge centipede in his closet, which gave him quite a fright.

Our family of 10 stayed in this home on the Big Island and enjoyed every moment. We played card games, pool and had a ping pong tournament! Would definitely stay again!.

Family Vacation

Our family had a great two week stay in Kona. Beautiful sunset views from this home. Mostly well stocked except the lack of beach chairs for the amount of people this home can accommodate. (only one actual beach chair). We celebrated a birthday while there and unfortunately the mixer was broken, but was able to still make cupcakes to celebrate! Overall a Beautiful Island and a wonderful stay.

Lyman’s bay - perfect getaway house for a large family group

This lovely home provided a great homebase for our trip to the Big Island. Our group ages 21 - 56 enjoyed all the amenitites at Lyman's bay including comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, pool, ping pong, hottub, and a wonderful lenai to watch the sunset. There was plenty of room to spread out, ample space for us to eat together. The house is located betwen downtown Kona and Keahou shopping center making shopping and dining convenient as well. The photos in th posting were an accurate representation of the home, the property management company had prompt and regular communications on the details of the property. There is no doubt with a large group we would rent this home again.

Great Place.

Very large home that was perfect for our family of nine. Perfect location, beautiful view. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Only warning is if your going during the hot season there are only a few small window unit AC units that really struggle to cool off the house. Mornings and nights weren't to bad but during the day it was almost uncomfortable. The game room was nice but during the day and evening it was so hot you couldn't use them. Also may want to request that the AC's are turned on before you get there. When we got there all the AC's and fans were off making it miserably hot for several hours until the HVAC could catch up. All in all a great time.

Very nice property. A lot of traffic if you had small children, but we were 5 adults so all good. Lots of stairs if your older, but house is great, very comfortable and gorgeous view.

Great location, nice sized house for a group

Wonderful location close to shopping and activities. Beach across the way was wonderful lots of surfers. All the bedrooms had individual ac units except the bunk bed room. When we arrived all units were off so it was really hot in the whole house. Cooled off in the bedrooms fairly quickly. Area was very quite at night and felt very safe. Would definitely rent again

It really is as good as the pictures

BEAUTIFUL house. Lots of space. The list of things that aren't amazing about this house is short: The only bedroom that's small is the bunk bed room. That room also doesn't have an air conditioning unit, and it was hot while we were there so that wasn't great. The shared bathroom is also small if you plan to have 6 people sharing it, but if those using the master bedrooms are willing to share it works out well. But other than that, everything was fantastic! Texts were answered quickly whenever we needed information. Some work had to be done on one of the garage doors, and they were very concerned with making sure that it didn't interfere in our plans. I was a little worried that we wouldn't be able to cross the street easily because Ali'i Dr can be pretty busy, but we never had any trouble. I seriously can't say enough about this house. We had 10 people: me and my husband, his parents, our 3 grown children, 2 of their spouses, and a 7 year year old grandchild, and we never felt crowded (except for those sharing the bathroom, but they worked it out). We spent a lot of time in the house, and used the heck out of the game room. My granddaughter LOVED going out looking for lizards, though I'm sure the lizards loved that a little less than she did! We explored the tide pools in the rocks every day. Granddaughter was afraid to snorkel in places where there were urchins, but felt really safe in the little protected area to the right. Seriously, so much fun and such a great house. It'll be a while before we're able to go back to Hawaii, but would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful home with great location

This house was perfect for 3 families. It is spacious and beautiful. Lyman’s Bay is right across the street and we got to watch the surfers on a high surf day. The ping pong table, pool table and tv room were perfect for our family to enjoy a great time together. Thank you so much

Beautiful Place

We had a great relaxing stay! The game room was utilized by all. There was plenty of sleeping space. The bay had excellent sunsets! We were told that Lyman’s Hale Bay was a very spiritual place.
