âThe hotel was an outstanding one 30 years ago. Now they just one of good ones. Management works hard to make the stay good, but staff is a bit out of ground. Thay could not help me taxi ordering for in city travelling. One more example: I paid 3 nights and did not have a single breakfast due to late arrival and early leave. At 10:35 I asked just for coffee and been refused.â

âWe loved our stay here. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and assist us. The breakfast was the most extensive buffet we have ever seen; we were shocked that there had been negative reviews. The location is great. There is a nice park across the street and itâs a short walk to many great sights. â

âThe Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as itâs a buffet Iâm sure thereâs plenty there to satisfy everyone. Itâs not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!...

âNothing to complain about, the reception staff expected us and check-in was a breeze, the hotel looked just the photos on Expedia and the staff were very helpful and service-minded. They also have a good restaurant on the bottom floor. A great place to stay in Almaty!â

âI didnât had electricity in my room.I need to leave hotel 3am during the night, couldnât change my phone, I showered in the dark not to mention I couldnât use hairdryer. This hotel is not cheap, and for the price they need to have some kind of backup with electricity, so bad. Also I ordered the wake up call, which I didn't received , in the reception they told me they called me when I left the room, and that was two minutes before my taxi arrived. In general, hotel is Ok, but nothing than that....

âExcellent customer service!! Everyone at the hotel are super helpful and supportive. My mom stayed at the hotel for 8 nights, she needed assistance with ordering transportation, bringing her breakfast to the table, opening doors. She has a broken leg and is forced to use a walker. Every person at the hotel helped her with a smile. Beautiful people! Thank you!
I would also like to mention the ease of booking and paying for the hotel. A lot of hotels in the area would not accept remote payments...
