Super clean, no-stress getaway!

I don’t typically write long reviews but our stay here was so perfect I just have to. First, the host (Bill) made everything so easy and stress free. From booking to checking in, to our actual stay, everything was so organized and easy. There are tons of amenities which made it easy to feel right at home. We decided to cook one night and go out to eat the other night. Bill left us information to help us navigate around the house (Wi-Fi, fireplace, etc) and a list of recommended restaurants and activities in the area. We tried out a few of his recommendations and were not disappointed!!! If you have time, definitely try Vesuvio Restaurant! The house was clean, cozy, spacious, and exactly as pictured in the listing. You could tell everything was professionally cleaned which made me feel really comfortable using all of the amenities. Perfect area & house if you want to relax inside all day or go exploring and do tons of activities. It really was the best of both worlds for us. We can’t wait to book our next getaway here in the winter!

Hunter Mountain House

We had a awesome time at this property. The house was perfect for a girls get away! It was very beautiful house and had everything that we needed. The host Bill made our arrival very smooth and easy to check in and out. We will be back for the ski season!

Great location and lovely home

The house provided everything we needed for our short weekend stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen and living room had ample room for our party of 9. Very comfortable and clean.

Perfect location to go back for lunch.

This house was perfect for a two family getaway with room for more. The house was clean, beds were comfortable and it had a great space for everyone to play games and be together. We were able to cook dinner and stay in after a long day out. Bill was very nice and informative. We would definitely go back.

Amazing service. Really nice house for a family

My group of 7 (3 adults, 3 teens) had a great time at Bill’s house. He was amazingly responsive to our needs, even volunteering to buy us pizza dinner when there was a minor issue with the oven (the house is super well maintained and he was getting the oven fixed right away after our visit—don’t misinterpret this comment as implying that things were broken or poorly maintained; that’s not the case at all). Recommended to any group of 8-14.

Memorable Birthday celebration in Hunter

Bill is a great host. Throughout our stay he was very prompt in answering any questions and gave us good advice about nearby things to do. His cabin is conveniently located near Hunter ski mountain and many other beautiful hiking trails nearby. We spent day time hiking and evenings hanging out in the cabin. We were 10 of us and cabin was plenty for us with room to spare.

My group of 14 stayed here to celebrate a birthday and had a blast! Everyone had a place to sleep and there was more than enough room to hang out. The pool table was a big hit with the guys in our group. The location was spectacular we went hiking in katerskills falls and went in the waterfall. Bill was very responsive and very helpful. We would definitely think about coming back during ski season!

Great place for a ski vacation

This was a great place for a ski vacation. It was big enough for a three families to get together and have a great time. It was clean and well stocked.The owner was very helpful whenever you needed him. Very close to the slopes. Nice quiet location.

Great location!

We had a wonderful time!!! Bill was great to work with. Anything we needed he was there to answer questions. Very convenient location to the mountain, and the pool table was a BIG hit with the teenagers in our group!! Would definitely stay again if we head to Hunter again!

Great Proximity and Plenty of Space

Great location and nice house. Tons of beds and couches with a nice open kitchen/living space to hang out. Walkable to Hunter Mt, but I wouldn't want to do it with gear. Responsive host that made himself available via call and text.

AMAZING! Fun! Can’t wait to book again!

Not one bad thing to say! Bill went above and beyond! A++++ He made sure my friends and I would have a great weekend, down to giving us restaurant recommendations. Made it feel like it was Our home. Great house with amazing location

We had a group of 14 people comfortably stay in this house. Amazing location as the drive to the mountain is no longer than 2 min. Bill was a great host, very responsive, and also had arrangements for a plow truck since we got over a foot of snow during our trip. I would definitely stay here again!

Just what we needed

Had a great experience at this house thanks to Bill. We were a large group (15 total) and this house perfectly fit our needs. 4 Bedrooms, 8-9 clean beds, plenty of space and very conveniently located. It had a ton of parking in the front and back and was very private. It's not the Ritz and we didn't expect it- so as long as you're OK with a quintessential ski house and are looking for function over fashion then this place is perfect. Bill was responsive, helpful and accommodating. Great host. Would 100% stay here again if a similar occasion arises.

Great location for groups

Great location near Hunter for larger groups. Bill was very helpful answering all the questions and was always available. He is definitely cautious of the place and doesnt want anything broken. The place is big with lots of rooms for any number of people. Note that the sofa bed....is either very old or very worn, therefore you cant realy sleep on it. The kitchen had alot of items to use if you want to cook which we did. The pool table was nice to have. The only issue we had was parking - since many of us came in separate cars, there was snow everywhere and the group next door had alot of cars too, we ended up having to double park on the street and block people in. So be aware of how many cars are coming with you. Definitely a good place if you are going to Hunter with a group.
