Daydream Inn is a serene lakefront home with a whimsical flair on Bald Mountain Lake. This lake is open for recreational use! Enjoy kayaking, fishing and swimming on this peaceful non-motorized lake. Daydream Inn has a vintage and whimsical feel, displaying artwork of the surrounding areas, and has great outdoor spaces and activities including, fire pit, spacious deck, screened porch with outdoor dining, private dock, use of 2 Kayaks/SUP'S, peddle boat and floating dock. As guests of Daydream Inn, you have access to Rumbling Bald amenities including outdoor pools/lazy river, indoor pool/saunas, fitness center, 2 championship 18-hole golf courses, driving ranges, spa/salon, mini golf, lighted tennis, pickleball, basketball courts and seasonal special events (golf and some activities are additional cost). Use Daydream Inn as a "home base" for visiting nearby towns and attractions. Many area restaurants and activities in Lake Lure, Hendersonville and Asheville are now open. There are wineries, breweries, live music, hiking trails, zip-line, waterfalls, and more within a short drive of Lake Lure. Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion is hosting some of the Chimney Rock businesses on weekends. Chimney Rock State Park is projected to open summer 2025. Rutherfordton, Black Mountain, Saluda, Asheville-Biltmore Estate, Mills River, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Brevard are great day-trip destinations. By visiting, you’re supporting the local businesses of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Western NC.


DAYDREAM INN Layout:

MAIN LEVEL: Daydream Inn features an open floor plan with Great Room, fully equipped updated Kitchen, Dining Area table with 4 chairs plus Breakfast Bar with 2 additional seats. Great Room has gas fireplace (Oct 1- May 1), Smart TV comfortable seating. Great Room, Deck and Screened Porch overlook Bald Mt Lake and private dock. Gas grill on the deck (propane supplied). Screened porch dining table with seating for 6. Master Bedroom has 1 Queen bed, large Smart TV and private Bath with walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 has two Full size beds, Smart TV and Bedroom 3 has two Queen beds with Smart TV, share a Jack-n-Jill Bath with combination tub/shower. 3rd full newly remodeled Bath is located adjacent to the Kitchen. Easy access from a large drive and paved parking area to Main Entrance. Parking for 3+ vehicles.

Mom’s 65th Birthday

Incredible place offering beautiful lake views, terrific amenities, and plenty of room. We enjoyed using the peddle boat daily, the great kitchen with space for the whole family to help with preparation, and the multiple deck options for dining and morning coffee. We’ll definitely be planning a return visit!!

Gals Get together

It was the perfect place for our reunion. 5 HS friends met in Charlotte and stayed at Daydream House for 4 nights and we picked the right place! The house was just as described. Clean, fully equipped and right on a beautiful part of the lake. Beds were very comfortable with fresh linens and plenty of towels for the bath. We floated out on the swim dock all day and had dinner at Lake House restaurant. Hosts were very responsive. The best time!!

Sisters getaway

Stayed at this amazing lakefront home for a long weekend sisters getaway. It was beautiful, clean , cozy and full of charm. The online pictures do not do it justice. From the cabin to the location and amenities the home came with was wonderful. We swam in the lake, took peddle boat out for a little ride. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to make your own meals which we did after some sun and water time in the lake. We would recommend 100 percent. Also near the town of Chimney Rock with adorable shops and good eats. Next time we plan to stay longer !

Wedding weekend

This was a perfect place to stay and relax while we celebrated the wedding of my daughter at Rumbling Bald. We especially enjoyed several days of relaxation after the big event. Loved the artistic vibe and peaceful lake.

Great with a few requests.

My requests are to put a king bed in the master bedroom so my wife and I can sleep together. There is plenty of room. Also, blinds on all the windows in the master. I had to move many things off the counters and cabinets to the laundry room to make room for our dry goods.

Loved our stay on Bald Mountain Lake!

Wonderful home on Bald Mountain Lake next to Lake Lure. It was the perfect family lake with no motorized boats. Kids had a blast! Parents we’re able to relax. Thank you for hosting us.

scenic getaway

beautiful views, peaceful location. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom and I had the best nights sleep in ages and would love to know the make and model of the mattress. The access to the Rumbling Bald is a definite bonus. The kayaks, peddle boat and floating dock were very much appreciated.

Perfect lakefront home

This property is safely nestled in a safe resort, on a mountain, and directly on a beautiful lake. The first thing you notice when you enter the home is the amazing view of the lake from the living room, dining areas, kitchen, and master bedroom. The home is very comfortable and is well appointed with artistic whimsy inside and out. The water is only steps away and we enjoyed the dock, boats, and firepit. No reason to leave until your time is up. We loved it!

The view over the lake from the dock, the deck and the living area 
 spectacular! House was the perfect size for 3 adult women friends traveling together (and all preferring their own space). Would definitely return and recommend.

Very pleasant stay. We did note a large grease stain in the oven and the floors were dirty. I did try to remove the stain with goo gone, but a self clean should be in order.

Nice getaway

The house was very clean and well stocked. Sue was extremely responsive to all of our needs. The children loved kayaking and swimming in the lake. The amenities at Rumbling Bald were a real plus especially the lazy river. Because we had unusually hot weather we were unable to have dinner on the porch so my only suggestion is to have a few extra chairs for the indoor dining table. We were six people and two had to eat at the counter. It would have been nice for all of us to sit at the table.

Spring Break/Easter

This property exceeded our expectations by far! The pics were great but driving up and seeing the gorgeous lake right there just confirmed that we were in for a great trip. The owners have lovely taste and had everything that you would possibly want or need. We have a 3, 12 and 13 yr old and everyone (including adults) were entertained all 5 days. We will be back to this house for sure!
