“Very easy to access, host was very welcoming and responsive. The cottage was spotlessly clean, and had all we might need for the kitchen, including sharp knives! It was lovely and warm, very nicely decorated and cosy.The shower was good and powerful, plenty of nice quality towels too. Great location for access to walks in the National Park (we did the Trespass Walk over Kinder Scout).Very good value, lovely cottage, would definitely recommend.”

“Unfortunately, the property did not meet reasonable cleanliness or maintenance standards. On arrival, the oven and hob were visibly dirty with grease and residue, and the kitchen overall did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was no bin provided anywhere in the property, only loose bin bags left for guests to manage waste themselves. The bathroom showed visible mould around the shower area. "Amazing service from all the staff. Every one was outstanding. The rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable. The food is priced highly but it always is in hotels. The mini-shop prices were outrageous because you have no other options nearby. The leisure facilities were good but the changing rooms were filthy. I visited on a Sunday and you could tell that a lot of people had been there. It is open to the public so all of the shower products were used up, the floor was wet everywhere with mud from shoes mixed in. Expect public baths rather than Marriott standard."

"Hotel and staff generally are nice. My stay was made worse due to the bar having nearly no beer on tap, but worse was the shower and bath, no water pressure at all, no pint even to stand under the shower you barely get wet. I could not ask for a change of room as it was late at night but it spoiled my stay"

"Perfect place to stay in the area. The spa is worth a visit. The room is super comfortable. The bathroom was cold and the towel warmer didn't work other than that Inreally enjoyed my stay. Breakfast is average, nothing fancy. The restaurant in the evening has good food and nice environment. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I had a good sleep."
