It was close enough to easily walk to the resort within a few minutes, very reasonable in cost, and the proprietors are wonderful people. “My family and I loved Joe's property! I brought my two dogs with me and I cannot tell you how nice it was to be able to let them off leash to explore his amazing property without having to worry about other people or dogs! His property is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the woods and creek. Listening to the symphony of peepers at night under the stars while relaxing in the hot tub was fantastic. It was a close enough drive to get in all the hikes we wanted to do at New River Gorge...

“The pictures show it as a flowery place to stay, lots of blooming plants. Going in early spring those flowers haven't bloomed yet so I was a little disappointed but understood. The closeness of all the houses was neat however you have to drive a bit to find gas and food if you don't make a reservation at the Water Wheel. Living in a city this was a big change for me. I would have like to have more insight on what other locations were good for visiting for lunch or dinner.”
