If I could give zero stars (or negative), I would. This was a terrible experience.When I was there, the room was completely dark and there was no working electricity—no lights and no way to charge my laptop or phone. I had no ability to work or even use my phone reliably. I contacted the host immediately, but he was unresponsive for roughly 12 hours. During that time, I reached out repeatedly and so did VRBO Support and their escalation team, but we still couldn’t get a timely resolution.After spending hours with support and getting nowhere, I left the next day because the room was unlivable.The refund process turned into another nightmare. I only received a partial refund (about 212), and then I was contacted a week later with a claim alleging something was broken. It feels like the host is trying to recover money through an unfair damage claim.Please be aware: this is a dark basement room with a non-responsive, rude host, and the overall experience was unacceptable.
