Host was very responsive and friendly. The apartment was very clean and quite spacious. It is very quiet considering the busy street in front. The location is OUTSTANDING, within walking distance to restaurants, bakeries, tapas bars, and all the major tourist sights in central Madrid. Highly recommend this place for your visit to Madrid.

We were met at the apartment and were able to check in early. The apartment was beautiful, very spacious and comfortable. The floor to ceiling windows and doors made it even nicer. Its central location made it easy to see museums and other popular sites within walking distance. There is a grocery store right across the street and plenty of bakeries and restaurants in the area. We would definitely stay there again.

This is a wonderful apartment. It exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for our trip. A very positive experience all around. Also, while the living area is very light and bright facing the street, the bedrooms are at the back and very quiet.

Apartment was as advertised. Clean, spacious, and well decorated with comfortable furniture. 3 minor problems:1. The dryer did not work properly. It shuts itself off after 3 minutes.2. Uncomfortable pillows on the bed.3. The VRBO representative was 15 minutes late meeting us, so we had to wait outside on a busy street with our luggage. Then she hurried through the procedures to get to another appointment.

We had a flawless check in experience. Lucia was very helpful. The apartment is well appointed and comfortable. The location is ideal for walking to Plaza Mayor, museums and the Royal Palace. The supermarket is directly across the street as well as bars and coffee shops. We would absolutely stay here again.

Very nice modern apartment in prime location, close to many locations to visit. Beautiful space to share with 6 people.Please note that the showers were slow to drain and tended to overflow onto the floor.We had all the amenities that we needed, and it was a seamless process to check in. The young woman who greeted us gave us all the information we needed to have a successful stay and was very helpful in answering all of our questions. Mucho Gracias!

Wunderschöne Wohnung in super Lage

Die Wohnung war genauso schön, wie sie auf den Bildern aussah und die Lage ist wirklich toll. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut. Ein kleines Manko von mir, das Bett war mir zu hart. Aber alles in allem eine top Wohnung, die wir jederzeit wieder anmieten würden.

Nice place in heart of Madrid

The property was very nice, in a great neighborhood. Check in was very smooth and host was very helpful. The only improvement would be addition of kitchen tea towels and feather rather than foam pillows. Overall a great stay.

1 week in Madrid flat

The flat was as lovely as pictured, very clean and very comfortable. Great location walking distance to most of what we wanted to do and a reasonable drive to work. The management company started out great but as soon as we had an issue, getting a response and help was difficult. The living area AC did not work when we arrived and when we reported it, the first 2 days they did not respond to us at all. Then it took 2 more days to get it working. (Freon issue) We requested some type of refund due to 4 days of no AC in the hot season and once again, no one has responded. The lack of responsiveness from the management company when we had a problem is the only reason we would not return as it is a great flat.

Perfect spot in Madrid

Our family of 4 stayed at this apartment while we visited Madrid and some surrounding areas. It was in a great location, easily accessible to all the major sights by foot or public transit. The apartment was as described in the listing with a grocery store across the street and plenty of restaurants and cafes close by. Despite being on a busy street, the apartment is quiet at night and the blinds blackout any light making it easy to sleep. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Madrid especially if you’re looking for lots of space in a great location!

Needs improvement

Pros: good a/c and appliances. Great location for first time visiting. Cons: main bathroom shower clogged and bed squeaks to the point it is unusable. Zero cleaning supplies which makes it difficult for three weeks. One tiny sponge in kitchen but fully stocked otherwise, not sure how you would clean up if you actually used the kitchen. Had to beg for dishwasher and washer detergent. Photos are better than reality. Good space but cheap, old furnishings.

Family trip to Madrid

We were on a family trip to Madrid to visit my son studying there for the semester. This apartment was a terrific space for us and for him to come stay with us. The apartment was clean. well decorated and had lots of good usable space. However the best part of this apartment is its location. It was centrally located, within walking distance to all of the city's main attractions, one block from the metro and surrounded by many great restaurants. It is in a busy part of Madrid, but the location of the bedrooms in the back of the apartment meant we didn't hear the bustle of the night. I would most definitely stay here again.

A very good apartment in the heart of Madrid

The apartment is very modern and nice, located in the heart of Madrid. There is a parking structure located half a block away from the building, there is an elevator (very small) to move up and down the building. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and a super market across from the building. The unit itself, is once again very modern, spacious, three bedroom, three bathrooms, washer/dryer, good wifi, one of the bedrooms is a master suite with a bathroom inside the room, overall is very nice. Overall the unit is very convenient if you plan to stay and move around Madrid’s downtown, if you intend to move around the entire city of Madrid, it is a challenging to come in and out of the area, as there is a lot of traffic all day. I experienced a very unfortunate incident right outside of the building (protestors of the current situation in the middle east) and it prevented me from leaving the apartment/building, they had blocked the entire street, very annoying, this is not the fault of the apartment or the neighborhood, these are knuckleheads…….there much you can do about people like that unfortunately. Despite the aforementioned incident, I definitely recommend the property to friends and family.

Ideal apartment in Madrid

The property was spacious, comfortable, and convenient. Modern appliances (including washer and dryer); a large kitchen and separate dining room; and well furnished living and sitting area. We were three couples and had more than enough room to sit, talk, read quietly, and enjoy our coffee. The kitchen was well-equipped; so we even made dinner twice. Stores and markets were only one or two blocks away. The bathrooms (3) were modern and large; the bedrooms and closets were also quite large. The property manager was friendly and helpful, and was there when we arrived. In other words, the entire experience was great.

FABULOUS LOCATION AND INTERIOR

This was by far our best VRBO rental! The large, totally renovated, 3rd floor apartment is in a gorgeous old building with an elevator and is located on Calle de Atocha, which is within walking distance to all the major sights. The larger beds in two of the bedrooms have comfortable beds but the twin beds in the 3rd bedroom are bit too firm. Decor inside is beautiful and comfortable. There is a full size refrigerator, a microwave & oven, an electric stove, a Nespresso Coffee maker, a dishwasher, several wine glasses, coffee cups, plates and flatware... all brand new! There are 3 (!!) full size bathrooms and one has a fancy colored light show while you shower. There is plenty of hot water, and the air conditioning works very well. The full sized washer and separate dryer work well and came in handy for all our dirty clothes. The apartment kitchen is not stocked with many basics but there is a grocery store literally across the street which has much to offer. Lots of good cafes and restaurants surround the area for your eating pleasure! Check in was super easy, Daniela was lovely and greeted us and gave a quick tour. The apartment building has a small elevator for those who have trouble with stairs. Lastly, the apartment is located on a busy street but is very quiet inside. The electric shutters are amazing and we lowered them in the afternoon to help keep the inside cool. I would love to rent this apartment on our next visit.

Wonderful Apartment!

This was a fantastic apartment -- it was huge with lots of space, a great kitchen, and nice furniture. As our Madrid stay was at the tail end of our trip, this apartment came in handy as we began to run a bit out of steam after two weeks of touring Spain. So it was great to relax, eat a few home cooked meals, and read a book after several weeks of non-stop touring. The location is great -- within walking distance of all the major sights in Central Madrid. We highly recommend this apartment!

JUST RIGHT!

Location, Location, Location! Great spot, excellant accommodations, just right. Ok total disclosure, we are walkers and expect to walk in Europe. This was a great location from which to walk in all directions to different areas/neighborhoods in Madrid. If you didn't want to walk you only needed to walk out the front door and hail a taxi, they never failed to be there. The mail park in Madrid was a bit of a walk to to, but totally worth it and as I said we are walkers. Great food and shopping was available throughout the neighborhoods. The VRBO listing is as advertised, and was a welcome sight to come back to after HOURS of exploring the city and sights. Also of note it is air conditioned, which you want when the temperatures rise. All representatives with the Venrays Team were available almost immediately if you contacted them, very responsive and helpful, and with a cheerful attitude. Thank you it was a wonderful hassle free stay. Well done!
