This space was neither beautiful nor spacious. We stayed with three adults and it was tough to turn around inside the apartment when there was more than one person in any room, and nearly impossible in the bathroom. I’ve lived in an NYC studio for 5 years that was nearly twice the size of this space.
Access is through the rear staircase that made it quiet but was under construction during our stay. It was very difficult for my 70 year old mother to navigate, and she only did it once.
The apartment had all the allure of a prison, bleak and tiny. The walls were dingy and dirty with damage everywhere…a simple coat of paint would do wonders. When we arrived at midnight from an overseas flight, we couldn’t even use the shower because the drain had nearly an inch of standing water and mold from a long standing drainage issue.
I would not recommend this stay to anyone. We left at midnight and found several local hotels that were much nicer and around the same price in centro Madrid.
Host also asked for a security deposit that was not listed in the add and has not yet been refunded even though we never stayed a night in the apartment. We asked for a refund, but were denied by the management company even though we never spent a night there. Our dispute with the credit card company for deceptive and misleading advertising is pending.
