“The rooms and food were great. The service was very ok. At Comal the food was very slow and they never checked in for drink orders or to fill waters. Not a great experience for a 300 dollar dinner. Same thing at breakfast. The pool service didn’t clear chairs when people left. The service got better towards the end but overall was disappointing for the price. One and only or las Ventanas are much better places to stay. ”

We arrived at Villa del Arco around 12:30, 3.5 hours before check in. Thankfully, the staff was kind enough to store our luggage and give us resort bracelets so that we could eat at the resort while we waited for check in, however they made us wait until exactly 4pm to allow us to go to the room, They wouldn’t let us in earlier at all.
The room was very nice and clean but we did immediately notice a sewer smell all around the room and resort, Tjey definitely have some old pipes and/or plumbing...

Nice rooms but missing fundamentals for a 5 star hotel...for example, ice bucket, possibility to make coffee or tea, etc. Also disappointed at the system for reserving lounge chairs around the pool. Nearly everything is taken before 9am by guests who belong to certain clubs, or who pay more, which seems unfair to guests who already pay a premium to stay at such a resort.”
