The recreation options at this resort are incredible and feature something for all ages. Not bad

The rooms itself is nice. They ask you to clean before you leave but there are no cleaning rags dish towels or dustpan. The broom has definitely been used to the max and my bf had to spend an hour unclogging the vacume. No hot pads for the oven or oven mitts. Beds were worn but comfy. We for sure could have used blankets and sheets for the fold out couch bed. We ended up buying some. The building is under construction and they do start on time at 8 am every day. The pools were nice but a bit too warm for hot days. Perfect for me but the others weren't a fan. The unloading parking was really nice. The security was in abundance. Mostly very pleasant besides the front gate people. Pretty rude most of the time. Must try duck doughnuts across the street!

Nice unit but

The unit itself is nice, but the building it lives in needs some TLC. The location to beach was nice, the pools were great for kids, but the building is very dated. I understand it is under construction, but these were inside things we took issue with.

Disappointed! :(

We had high hopes for this place. The pictures and listing looked very nice, but after arrival, we were quite disappointed. There were no “extras” that we have experienced with our past VRBO rentals. There were no dish towels, oven mitts, dish soap, no beach “necessities” like extra towels, chairs, umbrella, wagon, etc. There were no blankets for the pull out bed. A patio chair was broken. The coffee table was broken. The facility itself was under construction, so one of the pools was closed and the game area was closed. That should have been included in the listing. The listing implied there was a washer and dryer in the unit, but there wasn’t. There were some available to pay to use in the laundry room, but half of them were broken and unavailable for use. There was a parking fee and chair and beach rentals were $50 a day! Yikes!

Pictures can be deceiving!

We booked at the Myrtle Beach resort, Renaissance Towers because we were visiting during Myrtle Beach bike week, and we trailer our motorcycle and they allow trailers. HOWEVER, we were VERY surprised when we were told the trailers hitch had to point inward and if we didn't comply, the trailer would be towed. This information needs to be made clear to the renter BEFORE ARRIVAL. Thank goodness for the bystander who gave us a tip as to how we would do this without having to physically picking up the trailer to face the direction requested by the property management! Now, onto the condo. Another unfortunate revelation. This condo is very tired and needs a new sofa, master bedroom comforter needs washing or replaced. And master bathroom walls (where shower curtain rod hangs) repaired and painted. I took three cold showers. Never would the water stay even warm when switching on shower head (which also needs replacing!). There was no remote that would turn on the tv in the den. We do like to listen to the news in the morning. The best thing I can say about the condo is the floors are nice. Lastly, the beach side cafe/bar was very nice. Everyone there was very hospitable, and the food was good. I don't think we would recommend, or EVER stay here again. Regards, Sherry Tinsley Mechanicsville, VA
