We stayed at Section L Akihabara in 2 rooms with 5 adults for 3 nights at the end of September into October. Staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms were very clean, well appointed, reasonably sound proof and comfortable with their size being considerably larger than other rooms we’ve had in Tokyo. Beds were quite firm but we appreciated the pillows being a bit softer than those at other properties we stayed in Japan. It was great to have blackout curtains on windows, kitchenettes, washer/dryer combos (with laundry soap included!), coffee, drinks and snacks in the lobby, easy access to transit and the vibrant Akihabara district with Ueno a short walk or transit ride away. We would absolutely stay here again! Fantastic property:)

I loved my stay there. Everything was exactly like the pictures on their site. I enjoyed the cleanliness of the place, how spacious it was, all the amenities, the free drinks in the lobby, the friendly staff and the Thursday night social. I would definitely recommend to all my friends and family. Can’t wait to stay there again.

A great location for exploring Tokyo with excellent connections across the city. The road in Akihabara is busy and lively but the hotel is tucked away on a quiet back road a minute or two from the action. There are convenience stores nearby, as well as lots of restaurant choices. The area felt safe at all times. The room itself is perfect for longer stays, with plenty of space, laundry facilities and a kitchen. Staff are friendly and ready to help with anything you need. Recommended.

Section L Akihabara was one of the best places we stayed at in Tokyo! The room was large for Tokyo standards. We had a kitchenette, laundry and an entryway where you can store coats and luggage. They also have snacks and happy hour for the guests. The location is phenomenal. It’s on a quiet street but very close to 4 subway lines. It’s a 2 minute walk to the Ginza line which can practically take you anywhere. I love this hotel and on my next visit to Tokyo I will stay here again!

Great hotel to stay at for visiting Tokyo. Situated in a very good, quiet but convenient location. The hotel is very smartly managed and pays attention to the requirements of guests. All of the reception staff were lovely and extremely helpful. We would not hesitate staying here again. Well done Section L.

Great location as the hotel is tucked away on a side street off the main road. Excellent options for food, plenty of convenience stores around and the metro within a short walk away or the JR station 10 mins walk via the back streets avoiding the main road leading to either Electric town or Ameyoko market opposite direction to each other. Staff were excellent and engaging to talk to and a welcoming pack about the hotel and neighbourhood was a good touch. Appreciate free offering for guest like soda, chocolate bars too. Room was clean and I liked how 2 rooms on each level but am guessing is only for rooms with low ceiling as higher up the levels have more rooms for high ceiling rooms. Good facilities in the room e.g. washing machine, kitchen which I tend to go for in a hotel. Downside was a slight musty/dog smell on the pillow. Would highly recommend for first timers visiting Tokyo. Tip - check out Ameyoko market and Electric town first to compare souvenir and gift prices before other areas in Tokyo as the prices are good.
