Accomodates a big group with privacy.

Dan was excellent and present to accommodate us on our arrival. He took the time to give us some useful tips around Mardi Gras. The house is great to accommodate eight couples (Private bathrooms in each room is a big plus) It was unfortunate on the cooler weather. Did not get the opportunity to enjoy the pool and outdoor bar which would be awesome in the summer months. The only one recommendation I would consider is a rental car. We mostly Ubered since the house is a 35 min walk to Bourbon and French Quarters. Overall a great Stay, and Thanks Dan for a wonderful venue. Francois

Perfect Place for a big group in New Orleans!

Could not say enough good things about this property. The group thought so as well. The pool is a perfect place to hang out all day. Huge open space at the bar for people to play any sort of games they can think of. We used the grill to make some burgers for the group which was clutch. There are even two bunk houses if anyone in your group needs privacy. It was only a 15 min walk to frenchman and about 25 to burbon st, which was perfect for our group. Ubers from there to those two areas we're super cheap as well. The checkout process was super easy as well! My friend even left something at the property, and Daniel was super responsive and was able to mail his items back to my friend. Would definitely rent this property again!

Nice enough

The house is large but the rooms are all separate from one another so there is really not a shared space that can be easily accessed.by all. Very strange layout with some rooms connected to others and some only accessible by outside entrances. We thought we’d be able to open our doors and easily chat with & see one another. Not the case. The outdoor space could use a bit more lighting, especially around the pool. Overall, decent house. Not much to walk to around the area but safe enough.

Wonderful historic property

We travelled to Macarty house with 12 friends (total) for a 50th birthday gathering. The rooms were very well situated, everyone had privacy. The group spaces indoors were cozy, comfortable and really fun. The outdoor spaces are stellar, as you can see from the pictures. The neighborhood was delightful. We made lots of friends at Bywater bakery. Daniel and Lauren are warm, knowledgeable, wonderful hosts.

Great for meetings or big families

The owners were extremely attentive and helpful. They steered to a local bakery where we bought and enjoyed the best King Cake ever! The accommodations are exactly as described. Our only regret was coming during the winter and not being able to enjoy the outdoor setup. It is spectacular and I hope to come back with my family. The location is close to the quarter. Best hosts in my 10 years with vrbo!

Amazing Birthday Weekend!

The property was beautiful and exactly what we were wanting for our group! Everyone had their own space and bathroom and the common spaces were perfect! The front porch and upper deck provided even more charm. Daniel and Lauren were terrific hosts and would definitely stay here again

Beautiful home and amazing hosts!

We can't say enough good things about our stay at the Macarty House! We had a pretty large group and rented the entire house for the weekend, which was a great setup that allowed us to have our own space as well as a nice shared place to hang out. Lindsey and Daniel were amazing hosts--very welcoming, helpful, and willing to share their extensive knowledge of the area (both local and historical!). The house itself is gorgeous, with very cool interior design and an incredible outdoor spaces--we were visiting in February so it wasn't super warm but we still enjoyed the patio and bar area, and the pool would probably be amazing in the warmer months. The surrounding neighborhood has a some good places within walking distance, like Bacchanal and the Bywater Bakery, and it's a quick ride to the French Quarter. We were very happy with the amenities provided and found the beds super comfortable. Would definitely come back and stay here again!

Wonderful Stay & Owners

This house is beautiful, and the owners are fantastic. A perfect place to stay with a large group, each room has it's own bathroom and both indoors and outdoor areas are beautiful and spacious. Could not have asked for a better experience.
