Vintage motel renovated into condos

  • Unit #100 is conveniently located at the front of the former Hartford Motor Inn, which has been converted into privately owned condos. Step out the door, to the pool or walk directly across the street and enjoy the beautiful Atlantic Ocean/beach. We have ice machines, vending machines and a laundry facility for our guests. Our unit has the feel of a vintage beach cottage. There is one parking space per unit and towing is strictly enforced.

It was a good trip I thought the price was too high for what we received the washer and dryer wasn't plugged in and didn't work it was thrift store furnished looked awful but seemed clean

No internet

No internet was a issue while I was looking up stuff to go do. I contacted property manager he said it was working upon checking in. But the last guest left a note saying no Wi-Fi dont bother trying lol.

good location. Property needs a lot of repairs.

I would stay there again but not in this unit. Bedroom air did not work. tile in bathroom needs replacing. There were few glasses and no forks for eating. The front bedroom (former office) had windows all across the front and the curtains let in so much light you could not sleep in there.

Not as advertised

This property is in a good location with the beach only one row of properties from the beach. However, the location is not really ocean front as advertised you can not see the beach from the property. Attempts were made to "remodel" but it was not done right. Things that needed fixed were covered up instead of actually being fixed. For instance, the couch had a huge hole in the cushion that was just covered up with a blanket. The toilet and utilities made gosh awful sounds when utilized. There were cords running the entire length of the house along the walls. The pool was clean, but not well maintained it's bottom was peeling. Probably the worst part was where there used to be a window In the back bedroom that they have just put crooked boards and a window ac unit in and painted over it. Over all, I was very disappointed with this place and will not stay again.

Cute and quirky place close to the beach

This place is right across from the beach and used to be the lobby and check in desk for the motel, plus a bedroom and living room suite. You can actually see the beach from the living room. The front bedroom (former lobby) has tons of windows and natural light. The back bedroom, well, we called it the "bunker" since the only window is boarded over. It was a great, affordable place to stay for four close friends. Any more people and I think it would have felt crowded. Overall if you're willing for something a little funky and rough around the edges, but at the same time very sweet and close to the beach, this is a great place to stay.

Retro! Just what we needed!!

If you want a 5 star hotel, then get one. If you want a clean, quiet, almost like home, easy access to the beach and close to really nice restaurants or anything you may need this IS YOUR PLACE!!! I hope we can go back in near future and in the same unit as well!!

Pleasantly surprised

Honestly it was way better than I was expecting based on the low price and having read some of the negative reviews. It seemed very clean and organized. It’s a good size unit that comfortably slept for grown man. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms which it may have said in the description but I missed. There is also only one parking space which was a little inconvenient because we had two cars. Other than those two things it was right across the street from the beach and a pretty cool little area and had three window unit air conditioners which kept it very cold like we wanted. The pool seemed clean and was right around where we were but we didn’t use it. I would recommend the spot if you just plan on going to the beach and not hanging out around your room a lot

It was an easy experience. I’ve rented from Vrbo several times before, it has always been easy and we’ve always been impressed with the cleanliness.

Great location

The property has two bedrooms but it also has a bonus room that can be used as a bedroom or a den. I was very pleased with the location and condition of the property. I would definitely stay there again!
