“Property just as described. Slight problem on Christmas Day, but this was responded to immediately. It needed to reset the fire alarm but was resolved quickly. However, there was a "bleep" sound from the control box in the hall after this, which was very close to the pillow of the lower bunk where our son slept. “We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful property in the Lake District. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and thoughtfully prepared. The location was perfect: peaceful and secluded, but only a short drive (or a long, scenic walk!) to some amazing views, great pubs, and some fantastic hiking trails. “From the moment we arrived we settled in immediately. Everything we needed was there.Quiet ,spacious and comfortable rooms for 4 adults and two children. Outdoor space was lovely to sit out when the weather was good, great views too.and private parking for cars. So handy for Chester,easy park and ride, the zoo Liverpool,West Kirby, Cheshire Oaks retail.Loved the White Lion with good food ,plenty seating in and out. Definitely recommend the beautiful Old Stables.”

“Our stay was perfect. We were away for a romantic trip and the cottage was perfect for that. The cottage was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for a romantic few days away, including two big bath towels each, never mind all the other little touches and the excellent welcome basket. We would highly recommend it to anyone and would love to come back someday. ”

“Nicely furnished and ideally located flat with nice views. Short walk to Ambleside, very close to bus station where you can take bus rides to nearly all destinations in the Lake District. Flat has everything you need and is situated on the second floor of a nice property located in a beautiful large garden. Highly recommended!”
