Easter Getaway

The property is perfectly located to be near everything Orlando has to offer. The unit we were assigned was a spacious 1 bedroom villa with a king bed, kitchenette and large walk in shower. It had been newly renovated and was very nicely done. We were well pleased with the amenities offered by the resort. We will definitely stay here again when in Florida.

Great Resort Stay

What a fantastic experience! The unit was gorgeous, clean, and had a lovely view! The resort had so much to do and the staff were extremely nice and helpful! The host and property manager were great and very communicative! We would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

Great place to stay

This is a wonderful place to stay. The property is located very close to Disney and has all the amenities you need. Our unit had a full size refrigerator and a jacuzzi tub. Also, this property is gated. We would stay here again.

Review

Love the resort However, once again was disappointed with transparency about what room I was going to get On top of it - the person who was introduced as a host- was verbally abusive and belligerent towards me on the phone when I brought up the issue about not getting the room that was advertised to me. The person who named himself as Jake - verbally assaulted me over the phone by calling me a “liar “ and screaming at me from the top of his lungs. I am still in shock and my 9.5 year old son was a witness to this. I am not sure how I will going to proceed…

Beautiful Property

The property was amazing! All the amenities in the room were modern and it was very close to the theme parks. My least favorite thing was the sales presentation I had to sit through. They really don’t take no for an answer.

VERY IMPRESSED

We were looking for a place to stay close my Disney where our daughter would be staying with her cheer team! I am not sure how I stumbled upon Westgate Resort but it was priced so great, I was actually questioning how nice it would actually be! We arrived VERY late, after midnight. Pulled into a gated community with LOTS of lights! There were friendly folks at the check in counter who could see how exhausted we were so they got us checked in very quickly and gave us instructions to get to our building! It was quite overwhelming, especially in the dark. This is truly a resort! Restaurants, shops, pools, tennis, golf, kiddie entertainment. I was so shocked, I had not realized when I booked it. I learned later while hanging at one of the pools that there are multiple floor plans available. We had a 1 bedroom. 1 bathroom studio with a small family room and kitchenette! If I had to say anything negative, it would be that it may not be as up to date as some other places but that could not bring down the overall experience! We felt safe, we were SO close to Disney property PLUS Walmart directly across the street for easy access to groceries, etc. We only wish we had been able to enjoy everything the property offered. We were busy with Cheer! If you’re looking for a place off property but still close to Disney, go to Westgate Resort! We will definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Great place to stay!

Loved this resort! Had everything you needed in walking distance. Also a really nice fitness center. Although the room what not as expected. The photos showed 2 queen beds but the room had one bed and a pull out couch. Wasn't an issue at all just not what was pictured.

Great find

This property fit all of our needs! Especially during Hurricane Nicole. We were able to get groceries at the market and be comfortable in our room. We did wish for outlets near the bed or even usb outlets and also a hair dryer. Otherwise our stay and room was perfect for our needs.

Great place/Bad listing

The location is great. Being an owner of properties I rent on VRBO I was a bit surprised and frustrated. The listing shows in the pictures and references 2 double beds. That was not the case. It was a king bed only with a pull out couch. The owner did offer for us to move across the property to another condo hotel room setting but we ended up staying due to family being in the adjoining condo. Great place but listing is misleading.

Terrible and felt unsafe

When we arrived at the location that was sent to us with check in instructions they informed us that we were at the wrong location. I double checked and we were at the location that was sent to us via our Vrbo inbox. The resort had relocated us to a different location 30 minutes away due to over booking. They failed to tell anyone. We left that resort and went to check in to the location they moved us to. Parking at check in was awful! When we went in we realized that the other registration at the location we went to first didn’t give me my ID back. We had to drive all the way back over to the other location again to pick up my ID to be able to check in. When we finally got to our room we just wanted to chill and enjoy some peace and quiet. Well, forget peace and quiet in this resort. Even after the supposed 11:00 quiet hour there were still people partying and blasting their music down at the pool. After 5 calls to security in had to take matters into my own hands and go down to the pool myself and remind people that the pool closes at 11:00 and that after 11:00 is quiet time. Security did finally show up at 11:45. Then the people in the room next to us were being so loud we could hear every word they said. The walls were so thin it was ridiculous. After asking them nicely to please be quiet they did not. Security was called again. When security arrived the people in the room proceeded to stand outside our room yelling at us telling us to come outside. Assumingly they wanted to fight my wife and I. Security came again and I had to request the management to move us to a different room in the resort. They did move us but it took until 2:30 in the morning to get to our new room. Regardless I would not recommend this resort at all if you actually like to sleep or feel safe.

Relaxation

It was an easy check in, clean room, and very friendly staff. Many amenities. Only issue was barking dog next to us, I would have thought they grouped pets into lower floors together, but overall a great place and recommend staying.

Perfect Gateway

Everything was as described. The location is great, the view from the room is awesome. We had a small issue with checking in, I called The Host and literally within 5 minutes everything was taken care of (The was very polite and communicated very friendly). Definitely, a place to stay again!
