You couldn't ask for more!

The home was prefect and the weather was beautiful! We have stayed in Emerald Island several times. This was one of the best experiences. The home was clean and updated. There was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy without feeling crowded. We will definitely be rebooking this home again next year.

Christmas Getaway to the Parks

Disappointed in the price paid for what we received! The property looked clean; many things advertised were not accurate. The Grill was supposed to be available but had a lock on it. The hot tub did not get Hot! The pinball machines in game room did not work. There was only 2 SMALL bars of hand soap in the entire house! In a COVID environment this was very surprising! NO DISH SOAP either! The bathtub in the downstairs KING room needed to be snaked....water built up to 5" with each shower and left the tub gross after eventually draining. The toilet paper is cheap one-ply and only one roll in each bathroom (no extras). Needed more wash cloths and hand towels throughout the bathrooms. They had 1/2 roll of paper towels in kitchen. For the price paid the amenities were pretty poor! Obviously this rental is in a vacation spot and I would expect the amenities to be nicer for the price charged. We have had much better stays with houses in a variety of cities considered vacation destinations. Also, not included in the price is a $20 charge to "park" each car...this was not listed on the website listing!

Family Christmas 2021

Online, this property looks wonderful. In person, it is not what was portrayed. To start, there are so many fake trees in the house, 18 on the first floor to be exact, that make it difficult to walk through the premises. The size and layout was perfect. We were able to have plenty of room for our family. The play room had the games and none of those were working. They have since taken those off of the listing because they stated they were trying to fix them. We did enjoy the movie theater although the chairs really are not comfortable. There should be a warning on the trash can. The property has a pet. We named her Bandit, the Trash Can Panda. The property management knows they have raccoons and fall back on the statements that they have reported it to the correct people. People beware! My son-in-law was physically pushed by Bandit when he went to take the trash out. We know it’s a she because of the 3 tiny ones with her. When we first arrived there were only 12 bath towels in the entire house. Management did bring towels, washrags, hand towels, and kitchen towels when we requested. Also missing were forks, spoons, and other items needed for fixing meals. Once again, management did have those sent to us. Obviously they do not require those cleaning to inventory what is in the house. As far as a heated pool that I paid a per day amount to heat, it is not truly heated. It will only be heated from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm to approximately 10 degrees hotter than the outside temp. Also, the heating of the pool is stopped when you are heating the hot-tub. So, choose what you want heated. Parking is stated that you may have 5 vehicles. Just know that the drive fits 3 because they do not want you to park near the sidewalk. When entering the property you now pay so much per vehicle to get a card to enter the properties. So, they got more money from our family for these cards, but we can use them for one whole year. Why would we want to use them when we aren’t staying there? We will not be going back to this community or any other properties managed by this management firm.

Needs improvement

The house itself was beautiful and amazing. But there was nothing in the house no washcloths nor extra toilet paper, nothing to clean with etc. Also there was a used washcloth in one bathroom, hair on the couch and fleas in one bed. Needless to say our first day we had to buy many things in order to continue with our stay and we treated the fleas. Also we had a fairly large group of adults who were all listed at the front desk yet still had trouble entering the property. There was a broken seat in the game room and a broken post on one of the beds. The A/C had a leak the day of check-in leaving a mold smell in the game room. Overall the house looked amazing but it wasn't all the way clean and very inconvenient with the lack of supplies.

Our Florida stay

We booked the trip almost a year prior and was really looking forward to our whole family being there. Upon arrival we walked in the door and on the dining room table was a pile of cleaning towels and cleaning supplies. The house was absolutely filthy. The “game” room, every game was broken, there was a tv laying behind the chairs in the theater room, nothing worked, the overhead light stayed on ( no switch), each bedroom had things wrong a bunch of handles broken on the dressers, grill doesn’t work, I could go on and on. The sliding glass door wheels are broke so their solution was to Greece it. We had grease everywhere. All over the kids, all over the curtains, unreal. This was THE worst VRBO experience we’ve ever had. I would never recommend this property to anyone and the owners should be ashamed.

Never again

This house is in a great location and that's about it! There is so much wrong with this place. Lets start with the outside. The big grill and refrigerator, don't work, the pool was filthy it had cigarette butts in it. The pool toys, are just a pile of inflatable toys thrown in a big tote and they are all covered in mildew and ripped and just thrown in there. There are so many tears in the pool screen cover that birds were flying in, it is literally torn. There are concrete pavers that are pushed up, on the side with the pool pump. there are exactly 2 lounge chairs for a house that holds 15 people. There is also a table with 6 seats. and another table with no chairs at all. The timer for the hot tub is broke too! Inside is big, its a huge house! But its filthy and everything is broke!!! Along the back are windows and sliding doors, they are filthy! The curtains on the inside do not open because 1/2 the hooks at the top are broke and twisted.! The curtains are absolute disgusting at the bottom!! The game room. Every single game is broke. The pool table is in horrible shape and the felt is cut up. The chess game, pieces are broke. it does not have a big tv for the theatre, it has a little one, the big one is behind the seats broke!! The washer and dryer are great! they worked well! The kitchen is so so, the handle on the microwave is pretty much broke off. There are absolutely no starters here. ie: dishwasher soap, a garbage bag etc, nothing!! and no paperwork on anything at all anywhere! The amount of dirt was unreal. Look for the dust balls behind the big plant, the wine rack has never been dusted, neither has any ceiling fan in the house nor on the back porch. The furniture is on its last legs. Except the big long table. that is really nice and convenient. There were exactly 2 towels in each bathroom. Again the rooms need a deep cleaning. However the upstairs carpet felt and looked pretty new. We were in the bedroom up to the right on the right, African something, the switch does not work the light, you have to pull a chain with a realtree airfreshner attached to it for the light to come on and off, you have to either crawl on the bed or over the couch to do it! Mouldings are dirty, baseboards are dirty. This would be a great house if they cleaned it up. The manager did bring us a grill and got pool cleaned, but said they knew about everything else. We cleaned alot the first day. I would not stay here again.
