Denna semesterbostad vid havet ligger tio minuters promenad från Cascade Head Scenic Research Area och Salmon River. Devils Lake och Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce ligger också mindre än en mil härifrån.

Woods getaway

Great property, farther out from the town. It felt like we went into 1970’s. Everything including the stove was from the 70’s. Nothing modern. We were disappointed because the wood burning stove does not work. The furniture outside is outdated with plastic chairs. Would have been nice to have comfortable seating outside on the patio, because you’re paying for that view.

Worn furnishings

Main floor is up three levels and has a nice view, but the outdoor picnic table is rotting away. that kitchen table needs refinished. It’s got many stains on it. Not having any dishwasher was a negative there is small bathrooms only two with the sink in the hallway outside of the toilet and shower door. The Oregon coast is kind of harsh on houses, but this house is in need of some upgrades

Absolutely loved Otis!!

The location is beautiful & peaceful. By reading reviews I knew driveway was tight turn so that was good info. Area was quiet for most part except occasionally a barking dog. The house was older. Which I love. The linens and towels were old, torn & stained. Obviously people had pets there before. Carpet was stained and damaged but what can you expect from a rental. Last guests garbage was all over the place down stairs so we could not use the room down there. I wasn't going to wade through garbage to get to a room. Place could def use a better cleaning. Spider webs everywhere. Dishes in cabinets were dirty. Stove was filthy so I couldn't use it. Had to wash microwave & fridge before I could use them. Screens were old and would fall out. One fell and hit my daughter in head. My son got tripped on carpet leaving top floor & fell down stairs. Thankfully he was not hurt. All in all with the few issues we did have I would rent there again. The walking trails are amazing. The sound of birds in morning was wonderful. We all loved the rain. We got to see deer close up which thrilled the kids to no end!!

Perfect!

We saw deer, elk, eagles and seals without even leaving the neighborhood. Close to many adventures and restaurants on the coast and it's a peaceful place to relax at night or watching the rain during the day.

Lovely private nature getaway

We had a lovely time at the house: lots to do (loft and all the faves were fun for kids to play in). Easy access to grocery, attractions, hikes, beach and restaurants (we took short trips to Lincoln City, Neskowin and Depoe Bay). The house would improve greatly with some repairs (screen door broken, and stuck, blinds that worked half of the time, etc). Our teenager loved the separate spot to chill, with the closeness to share meals and shower. A lovely time for all.

Great experience

We loved the house and it's decor and amenities. The location was also incredible- just a walk away from the river, a great hike, and beautiful views. We also loved sitting on the balcony and looking out at the trees. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Not clean

The place was dirty when we arrived. Dirt had been swept into a corner in the down stairs bedroom, animal droppings (either feces or vomit) in another bedroom, windows were dirty inside and out, I unplugged two sinks, other peoples clothing between the dryer and wall, etc. I have pictures if you want to see them

Cascade Head

WE enjoyed the house. My suggestion for the amount Cavacasa charges for fees that the rental have a small house clening before the guests arrive to frteshing it up. The house smelled musty as it had been closed up for a period of time.

Otis cabin/house

3 main bedrooms were nice without issues. Separate isolated bedroom was slept in by my oldest son who stayed with us a couple nights. Kitchen was well supplied with everything you would need. Separate bedroom was full of bugs making it hard for oldest child to sleep as they were in his face. Middle son was offered the separate bedroom when the oldest left, but he declined due to the bugs. Middle child instead chose to sleep upstairs dealing with the mice. One night he tried to find them but realized they were in the walls. The mice left our food alone as far as I could tell except for two bags of granola we left in the pantry. House location is in the middle of the woods, thus expect the joys of nature to be present and you won’t be disappointed.

Coastal Forest with a iew

It is a perfect place to stay if you are going to a class a Sitka or a hike on Cascade Head. Walkable to class, with a view of the river. Beds were comfortable, house was clean with 70's charm. The beach is a drive away, either to Lincoln City or Neskowin.

Cute little house satisfied

We enjoyed our two night stay however we didn’t discover the fourth bedroom until the day of when we were packing up our stuff and leaving. A bit disappointing because some were sleeping on the floor. Just an FYI fourth bedroom is located OUTSIDE. The house is definitely secluded as stated which we loved. However the roads are very narrow as you get closer to the property lots of curves and sharp turns. Very steep driveway. Just be very careful when pulling in and out. It’s extremely dark when there’s no daylight so it makes it a bit tricky to get in and out the drive way. Overall a good house. A bit small but very cute.
