“Bitter Disappointment in Every Way. Wyndham should be ashamed to have its name associated with this miserable place. Room was dirty -- on check-in we found a pile of damp, dirty towels in the wardrobe closet. “This holiday inn was okay. The price was great for a weekend but the hotel is a little rundown. Only one elevator so expect to wait. The pool and hot tub were good as was the breakfast. The location is great...walking distance to whitecap beach.”

“We had a great stay. The hotel is in a very good location. The beach was easily accessible and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was good, though the service was slow. The building needs remodeling, but it was clean and everything worked. The view of the beach from our balcony was great. We will most likely stay here again.”

“There was limited to no maintenance done. They claim to have complimentary breakfast but there was barely any food provided and when it finished it was not replenished. The I booked was advertised as having a mini fridge and microwave, but what we got was a mini-mini fridge (tiny) and no microwave. They could not even provide an ice bucket to get ice. An finally, when checking out the manager refused to provide a receipt (either by email or printed copy). By far one of my worst stays at a hotel.”

“Staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their job and were very nice. The hotel overall is in disrepair. The carpeted rooms have a moldy odor, there was trash and large cardboard boxes left in the hallways and right outside of elevator doors. The pool was closed with no date for re-open. Our room had the smoke detector removed from the ceiling and the hole with wires was left uncovered. There was a fridge still boxed shoved in the spot where it should be in place. There were no working ice machines....

“We had to kill 2-3 roaches in our room. The rooms were really outdated because not even usb chargers were available. Price is overkill for the state of hotel. The sheets were dingy. And towels were dingy too. The pool needed cleaning due to debris but could have been from recent rains. Staff was nice and breakfast was good.”

After checkin I went to check the room and ended up needing to have our bedsheets changed out because of crumbs and unknown dried substances crusted on the bed. It looked like after the last people left all they did was make the bed and not change the sheets. When we were leaving for the beach, something told me to check the door. “The room and shower were very clean. Wonderful breakfast. Easy drive in and out when not wanting to stay directly on the island. Kind of a nice middle ground location for both the island and CC downtown. Highly recommend AND will definitely stay there again.”

“This hotel should be disenfranchised. We arrived on a Friday, checked in, and went to our room. At first, it was freezing cold. Ok. We went to the beach and when we returned to our hotel later in the day, the AC was not working. It was 76 degrees. Went down to the front desk and was informed that maintenance wouldn’t be back until 8:00 am or so, the next day. Asked if we could be moved to another room and was told that all the rooms were booked. At this time, the temp in the room was at 79...

“We have stayed every summer for years. This is first year where drugs were being used. Noisy people into the late hours of the night. Seems like one of those weekly apartments buildings now. Sorry but will not return.”
