“Cleanliness and quiet hotel”

“Room was clean, wish the restroom had a fan, but the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the chocolate on the pillows and bottled waters. The staff was very friendly and the common area was also nice to have with a microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator to use. Parking is free after 8pm and Sundays so that was helpful with a Saturday night stay. Quicker to take an Uber to visit Salem in October! Would highly recommend. ”

“Room was nice and clean. Firm bed, soft pillows, just how I like it. The Tavern was great, staff were all attentive. I was even 'carded' for a drink. Which I love because Im in my mid 30s and not many places card me still in my small town lol 😆 I didnt love that the room temp stayed at 71 degrees even after turning the thermostat up to 85, but it was still comfortable enough. I will for sure return! Also, no ghost activity other than feeling twice like someone was pressing down on my hip...

“I enjoyed my stay at the Merchant. I loved the history of the property, its location, the extra comfort touches everywhere in both the common areas and the individual rooms. The small deck in the rear of the building offered a pleasant seating area outside, the property is well maintained inside and out. Loved being able to walk everywhere, can’t wait to return to Salem and the Merchant. ”
