“An ideal quiet location with access to Penrith and the Lakes. Well appointed modern property, private parking. Host could not have been more friendly and helpfull. We did have a couple of issues with the Verbo discription verse actual facilities- however host was quick to sort out and offered us alternative very close by. Thanks for that. All in all we had a great stay and would not hesitate to book again next time we visit the lakes.”

“We stayed in October, a family of four and one grandparent. The property is spacious and well decorated. The location is great with some good walks from the doorstep and lots of good places to eat out within minutes in the car/ bit further on foot. (Can highly recommend Glenridding’s Beckside Bar and for a special meal, Glenridding Hotel). The kitchen was well equipped and a great heart to the cottage, unfortunately in the lounge there isn’t a smart TV, which came as a surprise and took away...

“Had a lovely stay here with the entire family after Christmas. An amazing property with ample space for both kids and adults to relax. Lovely addition of a swing set and slide on the grounds for the little ones to enjoy and stunning views of the rollling countryside. The only thing that would have made the trip better is an earlier check in time. I personally find 4pm a little late, particularly in winter as it was pitch black by the time we arrived. “The property is set in a stunning setting, opposite Blencathra, in a really quiet location. Unfortunately, however, the cottage has a rodent problem. Each morning we'd find mouse droppings underneath the fridge, on window ledges and by the sink. On leaving we also discovered mice had chewed through one of our bags.”
