We were there in January and it was very cold, so it was nice to have a warm place so close to everything (though the kitchen can be still be cold!). “The house was absolutely freezing when we arrived, downstairs bedrooms smelled of damp. It took hours for the house to warm up and the kitchen and front downstairs bedroom didn’t ever warm up.
