Buckeye Beauty
This home was cozy and welcoming. While our group was small, it has the capacity for larger groups to stay in the 4 BR/3BA home. We particularly enjoyed watching the birds in the pretty back yard. Having a garage to park in was also a plus.

Nice rental but location not ideal for Phoenix
This is a nice rental, as advertised, clean and comfortable. Backyard small, but very attractive. The neighbors have a large dog which is audible from inside the house. We were a bit concerned, but we never heard it late at night/ early morning so it turned out not to be a problem. Owners were responsive to concerns. Unfortunately getting to Phoenix requires traveling down 1-10 on one of the busiest and most dangerous strips of highway in the US. The only time we did not have an issue was Sunday morning, otherwise it was gridlock from 5am through 8pm or later. That meant what should have been a 30 minute drive could take over an hour. We likely spent as much money on gas as we saved on rental price and that does not take into account the stress. Keep in mind that 1-10 has as many as 8 lanes in one direction. If you are used to LA this might not be an issue for you, but it is quite bad compared to most of the US. I recognize it was our own fault for renting so far outside of Phoenix, but if you are not from the area you may not know the type of traffic you will be dealing with, so I thought others should be warned. In summary: nice rental for Buckeye, not ideal if you want to go into Phoenix or its suburbs.

Glad that you found the house clean, attractive and comfortable. I just want to reiterate that the dog next door was barky when you arrived because there was a thunder storm and that most of the time he is very quiet. Chauncey only barks if there is a disturbance. Ie coyotes, fireworks, storm etc... Phoenix and Buckeye certainly are popular now and that does have some draw backs but there are lots of benefits too. In fact Buckeye has some of the best golf courses in America, brand new costco 5 minutes from the house and skyline regional park is a sought after hiking destination. Sundance Park has a fishing lake, splash pad, playground and other activities. There is even more coming soon such as movie theaters, play zone and outdoor shopping malls so you don't need to leave the west valley.

Sundance Surprise
My wife and I felt very much at home while escaping our Canadian Winter. The house is spacious and the swimming pool lovely. Everything we needed was close by and we and enjoyed daily walks in and around Sundance Golf club. Verrado Golf Club (15mins drive) has a great restaurant with lovely views and close to Victory Steps offering expansive panoramic views. Skyline Park (10 mins drive) has many walking/hiking trails. San Diego is an easy day's drive. Flagstaff a couple of hours drive is a great jump off point for Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Winslow, Meteor Crater, Sedona and Jerome. Sky Harbor Airport 35-45mins. Kevin was a great host, promptly answering our questions to make sure we were always okay.

Lovely property. The first floor bedroom and bath were perfect for my elderly mother. We enjoyed the back patio in the sunshine. It was a nice break from upstate NY winters.

Great view for the area
It was so nice to have a backyard view in a home in this area that was not of a plain wall, the fence with a view was great. Communications were good overall with the hosts, responsive and helpfull. Home had most everything we needed for the stay.

Great Pool & Location
What you read in other reviews is accurate, we should've done a better job of reading reviews before booking but all things considered it was a good stay. The house was 90 degrees when we got there, pool needed a few days to heat up and there was a problem with TV and internet. The pool was perfect for our kids though, they had a great time - we had a few small frustrations (like no extra TP, paper towels, garbage bags, dish detergent) but got over it and enjoyed our stay. Kevin was responsive too, thanks for having us.

Sundance golf vacation
Two couples of us rented Kevin’s property for a week of golf in the sun and an escape from NW rain and cold. The property’s condition, furnishings and location were perfect, exactly as advertised. The home had everything we needed, the pool was nice and the sunsets were amazing. Sundance Golf was great and reasonably priced. The clubhouse was comfortable and the food was really good. We’ll be back!

Great home but more costly than appears
We had a great stay! The home was clean and adequately furnished. The queen and king beds are pillowtop and very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with most necessary equipment. Plan on supplying your own condiments, etc and the fridge is bare on arrival (some homes keep those items left from other travelers.) There are some random spices in the cupboard that have remained from other travelers. There are a few board games and several adult level books and a few DVDs. There are no children's books or DVDs. There is laundry detergent supplied for the washer and dryer. There were no wash cloths in the house, which was an inconvenience. The owner offered to reimburse us if we purchased our own. There were also no toiletries, such as bar soap, as have always been furnished at the several other vrbo homes we've used. There were no facial tissues and we had to purchase our own. The pool was really fun and has a neat waterfall. We came in January and paid the daily fee to have it heated. However it takes about 48 hours to get it heated so we didn't have a heated pool for 2 of our 4 days. We would have appreciated the pool heater being started the day we arrived (we didn't get in our first night until late. ) And we could have turned it off before we left. Also, we put in a couple calls to the pool company listed for assistance with the heater and no one ever answered or returned our calls. They ask u to bring your own swim towels which can't really be done if you fly in. They should be provided with the pool. The garage fits 2 vehicles but the owner has a car in the garage, so only 1 additional car will fit. Our biggest complaint is that the vrbo listing says it sleeps 10, which was the number in our party. However, the price listed only includes 6 guests. If u want to actually sleep 10 they'll tack on an additional amount per person, per night. We had 4 toddlers. The owner said the additional nightly cost was to cover extra costs incurred by additional guests, and yes, even toddlers counted. So we recieved an extra bill of for toddlers, which was very offputting, especially considering the lack of beach towels and basic toiletries. In all, a great time in a nice house. Would probably return again if we had only 6 guests...

The property was great. Great location near the active adult where my father's place is at. Right on the golf course so easy to get to and from clubhouse. Great for families if you have parents or friends in the active adult area and if you need more room for a larger family.

Beautiful view, owner is great!
We stayed from Oct. 8-31, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location overlooking hole 12 of the Sundance golf course is beautifully picturesque, and the sunsets viewed from the pool deck are stunning. While my husband was working, I enjoyed morning walks around the golf course and saw Gambel's quail, a Roadrunner, lots of rabbits, and even spotted a tarantula burrow there. The pool is wonderful, and I especially enjoyed the soothing sound of the waterfall. The furniture, umbrellas, and firepit (they even provided wood and lighter fluid for us) were so nice in the backyard. I can't say enough about how pleasant and easy it was to work with the owner, who was extremely responsive when a few minor issues came up during our stay. We look forward to staying here again in the future, thank you for sharing your home with us.

We had a great Feb-Mar stay at this terrific home in the desert! Very well maintained and equipped! Any small issue that came up was quickly addressed by Kevin, the owner. The location is very convenient to everything that we needed such as golf, shopping, movies, etc.. The golf course view was a never ending source of entertainment. And the sunsets.....! Would feel very good in recommending this home to anyone for a relaxing time!

Spacious and very functional home.
This home is spacious and well designed for larger groups. It is comfortable overall however it is in need of some maintenance. Some curtain rods and some blinds were not in good repair and/or did not function properly. Some light bulbs were burned out both inside and out. Bedroom TV had not been converted to digital (as needed in 2009) thus inoperable. Back yard pool was well maintained and landscaping was well thought out and pleasant. Outdoor cushions were faded and some were torn. Patio, grill, and outdoor dining table were not clean. Offset umbrella was inoperable. Windows were cloudy and murky and cleaning products were of poor quality. On a more positive note heating and air conditioning were of excellent quality as was water pressure throughout the home. Having the golf course nearby provided pleasant views and easy access for golfing---the affiliated restaurant provided good food at very reasonable prices. The neighborhood felt quite safe and walkable.

Family vacation in Phoenix
Our family traveled to Phoenix for a family wedding and stayed at Kevin's Villa la Sundance. The house worked very well for us. My father-in-law can't do stairs anymore so the downstairs queen bedroom was one of the reasons we choose this house. Kevin was a very attentive host. The backyard space was terrific, lots of sun, great view of the White Tank Mountains and we made use of the pool. We had not been to Phoenix for 11 years and the city has grown tremendously and I am glad we ended up in Buckeye. The town of Buckeye is about 30 miles from downtown Phoenix so it was no where as busy. If you are looking to get away for sunshine and dry climate I would recommend this house and the town of Buckeye.

Villa de Sundance...Amazing!
From the moment we walked in the home, it felt like home! Lot's of room, the pool was amazing, any questions we had were answered immediately. A great property for a larger family or even two families. One bedroom could sleep 6 and three other rooms for adults. I especially liked how the TV area was upstairs and I could prepare meals in the peace and quiet while all the kids went upstairs to watch TV. Nice relaxing living room area off the kitchen/dining area...nice to keep adults separate from the kids when we wanted to just visit. Very clean and well organized. We would definitely return, close to all amenities and coffee shops if you want a great morning walk to coffee in the morning.

Great home in Buckeye
Our stay here was overall pretty good. Unfortunately it started off with a hiccup, the air conditioning on the second story with the majority of bedrooms was not working at all. It made it unbearable to sleep on that floor so much so we had to make an 11p.m. trip to Walmart to buy 3 fans and still were unable to sleep in the rooms on that floor. We did contact the owners and they did get someone out the next morning to fix it and everything from there on out was very enjoyable. The house was very comfortable and had just about everything we needed to enjoy our time in Arizona.

Perfect place to spend time enjoying the Arizona sunshine.
We spent six weeks in Kevin's lovely, spacious, and comfortable house. A visit from family with grandchildren was most enjoyable with lots of space for everyone, and the pool a very big highlight but not only with the children! Kevin was always most helpful and gracious answering all questions by email or phone within a matter of hours. The close proximity to the golf club, hiking trails, and shopping is ideal. Great property - fantastic pool and outdoor space
My husband and I stayed at this property with our two young kids (under 6). The house was clean and comfortable.We loved the heated pool and the outdoor space! Quiet and friendly neighborhood. Owner is responsive and very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
