“We enjoyed our stay! The Tessa apartment was booked, so we stayed in Il Fienile - a converted hay barn. The apartment came equipped with everything we needed and was spotless. Parking of our rental car was very easy. Tessa, Tizian and the family were very welcoming. Tessa taught me how to use an Italian coffee maker, answered questions about the area and helped to book a dinner reservation and winery tour. “Das Haus ist sehr alt und hat viele besondere Details. Es wirkt im ersten Moment auch gut, um mit einer Gruppe (wir waren 13 Personen) eine schöne Zeit zu verbringen. Es gibt viel Platz, lange Tische für gemeinsames Essen und die Küche ist perfekt für das Kochen für große Gruppen. Aber es gibt Probleme mit Feuchtigkeit, insbesondere im Untergeschoss, weshalb es wirklich sehr modrig riecht. “There was only 3 of us staying so we had more room than we needed. The villa is set out on 5 floors so a fair few steps involved. At the bottom there was a loung and kitchen. The other floors are bedroom. They are themed bedrooms with pictures etc. from the owners collection. Very impressive. There are a lot of step and it's not geeared for the less mobile. but the terrace is lovely, cool and breezy when we went. Great to sit out of an evening, with mozzie protection!Aircon is all bedrooms but...

“It was a beautiful renovated house near a castle and very central to sight seeing. We saw the town of Lucca and San Gimigniano and the Antinori winery among other things. Mr Carmelo was above and beyond a very generous host and made sure all our needs were met. We had a very good and comfortable time in Larciano.”
