“This property was beautiful on the outside with a great pool scene. It is also conveniently located just steps away from Playa Mamita Beach and 5th Avenue. HOWEVER, internally, the room was quite run down and dirty. Many electrical outlets didn't work. The entire hotel's water was shut of during the middle of the night secondary to reportedly repeated water pump failures explained to me by the manager of the property. “June 2026 very recent START WITH BROKEN TOILET SET, I SLIPPED OFF THEN REMOTES FOR AC NEEDED HELP THEN SHOWER, FLOODED THE ENTIRE ROOM , WORST NO WARM TO HOT WATER THEY AGREEED. “Jättefint hotell med stora rum och ytor. Vi bodde i en tre sovrums penthouse med grill och jacuzzi på takterrassen. Läget är perfekt med närhet till både havet och nöjen. Ungdomarna i familjen uppskattade tillgång till bra gym i huset. Poolen var perfekt att tillgå när man behöver svalka sig lite. ”

“MAYA VILLA is conveniently situated in the center of Playa del Carmen. The rooms are very spacious, beds perfect, the standard very high, all staff very nice and helpful, the food at IMPREVIST (breakfast/brunch) excellent. In the courtyard there is a 'pool' with waterfall/yacuzzi but sun falls in only occationally depending on time of day. The ocean only 3min walk away, though. We had a great week at this hotel!”

“Check in was very informative. They gave us all the info we needed. Since check in was at a different location they provided us with a ride on a golf cart. The place was amazing. They had 2 pools but one was under renovations. The elevator was out of service the whole time we were there and we never saw anyone ever work on it. Security was always at their post so very safe.
