“Rummet låg bra till i New York med gångavstånd till det mesta. Rummet var rent och okej. Dock finns det inga köksredskap som grytor, bestick, tallrikar m.m utan köket är helt tomt. Mikron fungerade inte och stolarna var trasiga. Den delade toaletten var riktigt äcklig och städades inte tillräckligt. Det som väger upp betyget är läget, att rummet var rent och priset.”

“I read the mixed reviews and chose Macaw Guesthouse anyway - I am glad that I did. It was a reasonable option in expensive New York City and it was as described. Charming hosts who went out of their way to welcome me and ensure that I was comfortable. Short walk to transportation options and dining options nearby. Highly recommend and would stay again. ”

“Stayed here for the weekend. Room was suitable and clean. The neighborhood was a little rough but nothing too concerning. Very close to the airport. The person on the phone made it very easy to check in and out. I have no complaints, would definitely return to this place the next time im in town”

“The host was very nice and the property was comfortable. My only gripe is that is was pretty warm when we got in, but after the AC was running for a couple of hours it got better.”

“The property was clean well cared, there's a full kitchen available on site, and 3 bedrooms each with their own key. The price made a good option on budget as I wasn't going to be doing much in Manhattan so just really needed a place for spending the night till my next flight. An uber from the airport was $13 which was nice. From the property, I was able to get to Manhattan and back in about 50 mins by taking the bus 107 which was about 8 blocks away and a few dollars, so it was very convenient....

“At first it started off rocky. Thought I could check in at 3pm although I told them I would arrive around 5pm. That’s on me. Long story short 1st room I got was not serviced got the 2nd room real quick. Overall it gives you a college experience with the bathroom and showers outside the room. I enjoyed it. ”

“The area is not the host fault. The absolutely, horrible, thoughtless neighbor who blarred, loud, disgusting rap music for 9hrs, is definitely the problem. Other than that mo problem ”

"Mysigt hotell men tråkigt att takterrassens bar inte var öppen som den skulle. Det var en stor anledning till att vi valde att bo på Arlo Midtown. De borde ha haft öppet när det var sol. Det är flera som skrivit om att takterrassens bar varit stängd när de varit där. Saknade möjlighet att göra kaffe på rummet. Nespressobryggare hade varit toppen. Ingen möjlighet att köpa eller låna adapter på rummet, vilket kändes som en självklar service på ett fyrstjärnigt hotell. "

"Rummet var ok, mattan smutsig. Det sämsta var receptionen och allmänna utrymmen, det går att köpa bättre möbler på loppis. Nedsuttna och snuskiga möbler. Receptionen extremt stökig, förmodligen dåligt management som tillåter detta. "

"Nice hotel in a good area with walking distance from a lot of things. Close to subway. A lot of shopping possibilities nearby and the Italian restaurant in the same building was great and is also serving as breakfast restaurant. However - note the dinner is way better than the breakfast. Breakfast ok as American standard though. Only problem was the elevators. Only 3 of them in a 43 floor building. Once we waited 35 minutes before we were able to get an elevator that was not already full. Lived on 42nd floor, so the stairs was not really an option. "
