The Guadalupe River Bend House

About this space
Blend with Nature at the River Bend House on the Guadalupe River. The water is flowing! Enjoy watching axis and whitetail deer come and go. Catch a great night sky in the peaceful country setting. The 3 bedroom / 3 bath house was built in 2023 and is situated on 1.7 acres with private river access. The house has a weaving trail that takes you to an overlook above the Guadalupe River. With hiking shoes, you can take the short but steep trail down to the river.

Each bedroom has it’s own en suite bathroom and queen bed. The large living area has a Roku tv, comfy seating, a full kitchen with an electric range, full-size refrigerator and a large dining table. On the deck there is an outdoor pellet grill (bring your own pellets) , outdoor table and a lounging area. The indoor decor blends local artists’ chalk artwork with stained cement floors and vaulted ceiling to create a very special ambiance. The dog-friendly house has a doggie door leading to a fully fenced backyard. Lovely oak trees provide shade around the house.

The River Bend House sits on 1.7 acres on a beautiful bend of the Guadalupe River with very large cypress trees. Bring your outdoor chairs and sit on the beach or shallow part of the water. Bring your fishing poles for some fishing fun. Be aware of poisonous snakes, both in the water and out of the water. **Bring your own beach towels.

The house is ideally placed in the country between Boerne, Kendalia and Sisterdale.

17 minutes (13 mi) from Sisterdale Dance Hall and Sister Creek Vineyards.

Perfect stay for the five of us and two German Shepherds. A bit of a drive to Boerne but well worth the time to be able to return to the River Bend property. We had time for a couple of trips to the river and several walks. Look forward to retuning to enjoy the house and river!

This was a really nice experience. The place was looks nice, clean and has quite a bit of stuff at your disposal to use without having to bring too much of your own stuff. There are some dishes, pans and utensils to use. Also, there is an electric smoker/grill to use. There are nice little notes around the place to help you understand the place and how some things work. Very informative. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Our family had the most amazing weekend! The house was spotless and so well-organized. The patio was beautiful, and the views were simply breathtaking. The property itself was wonderful, and the walk down to the river was such a fun adventure. We were lucky that the river was high during our stay, making it perfect for floating. The check-in and checkout process was seamless. We can’t wait to return to this house. I noticed the thoughtful details everywhere, from Kirkland shampoo and seasoning to Room Essentials towels. It was clear that the host genuinely cared about this place. She was incredibly responsive to all my questions, and it felt like she was just like us. My family had an unforgettable time, creating so many cherished memories. Honestly, we can’t wait to go back!

We arrived to a well manicured property that screamed hill country of Texas! It was clean, it was peaceful, and space was plentiful for the whole family to spread out! My older boys spent the days exploring the property, fishing, hiking, you name it! My wife and I relaxed with the littles and it was perfect. The WiFi was fast, however we disconnected our electronics for the week just to give the outside world the boot. I definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to retreat from the city. The river is a short hike, and it was so quiet! The levels were high enough to put a chair in or even float! Safe for kids and adults alike. Go here, you won’t regret it

We enjoyed a relaxing get away and spent a little very time in Boerne and visiting with family! The home is well appointed and the beds comfortable. Only thing I could have wished for was a set of grill tools but we made due with the tongs in the kitchen and a kitchen spatula. Enjoyed watching the deer come to the feeder and so many birds eating at the bird feeder. Such a quiet and peaceful location! Would stay here again when we return for a visit. Owner was very helpful with any questions we had regarding our inexperience in using the Traeger pellet grill and our steaks tasted amazing!
