    THE LIVING AREA

    The rooms are centrally air-conditioned. Living room features 75-inch flat screen TV you can watch from super snug couches. The TVs are hooked up to cable, with over 100 free local channels, plus Smart Roku for Netflix, YouTube and Disney+. So, no one should be saying there’s nothing to watch.

    The 6 bedrooms are furnished with 3 King bed, 4 Queen beds, 1 Baby Crib, and ample pillows to ensure a restful night's sleep.

    Dining tables and chairs, both inside and outside, for at least 32 people. The house gives you places to sit and enjoy your culinary creations.

    Fully-stocked Bathrooms with a walk-in shower on the ground floor, bathtub, and everything you need: shampoo, body wash, a hairdryer, and fresh towels.

    • Can I check in early or check out late? We offer 1 PM early check-in or 1 PM late check-out for a small fee as we need to hire extra cleaners to expedite. This request is subject to availability and not automatically confirmed. Please confirm with us first

    • Are pets allowed? Yes, pets are welcome! Please add them to your reservation and clean up after your pets during your stay. Let us know if you have any special requests

    • How far is the home from specific locations? Use Google Maps with "Old West Avenue, San Diego CA 92129" for accurate distances

    • What’s the check-in process? Self-check-in via lockbox or keypad. Instructions will be sent on your check-in day once we finish screening your group

    • If there’s gas grill and the propane tank happens to be low, we will reimburse guests for refilling the tank. Due to strict CA law, gas can not be easily delivered.

    • Is smoking allowed? No smoking inside, only OUTSIDE the home and further away from the neighbors — please close all doors/windows and collect smoking residues/cigarette butts to prevent the smell from getting into the home.

    • Is night-time or same-day check-in allowed? Yes. Even when you book at 10 PM, we will send you check-in instructions right after we finish screening your group.

    • How’s the home cleaned? Cleaned with normal home cleaning products. If there’s any minor cleaning mishap, you agree to give us a reasonable time to solve the issue.

    • If I book the entire home for 1 person, can I bring as many people as I want? No. You must book with the correct guest count, including visitors counted as half a guest each, to ensure everyone is authorized.

    • Please add the correct guest count in your reservation, including the visitors (counted as half guests), and pets. The price will depend on your group’s size.

    • Security Devices?
    Security Camera: One device outside looking at the driveway and the pathway to the home, active 24/7 to protect the guests and the home

    Noise decibel monitor: One device outside the home. Minut noise detector doesn't record anything, just detects the noise level 24/7 to prevent prolonged loud noise events at the home to avoid affecting the neighbors.

    Property Use: Commercial photography, filming, and professional content creation activities are subject to prior approval from the host.

Great location, cute backyard. Plenty of rooms and beds. They do require IDs from everybody that is confirmed. Which isn’t a problem, however, they ask for it right before check-in while we were all running around right before the wedding. So just a heads up if you’re booking to have that beforehand.

The location was great, and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. The house also had plenty of rooms to comfortably accommodate our entire group. However, our main concerns were the strict check-in process, having only one key, and the plumbing issues. Having just one key was inconvenient, especially when we wanted to lock the house at night while someone was sleeping in the guest house and might need to come inside to use the restroom, or when members of our group wanted to go out separately. Additionally, one sink did not drain properly, and the toilets had weak flushing and often did not flush completely on the first try. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with how the host handled the plumbing concerns. Rather than taking steps to address the issue, we were asked to check for hair in the drain, even though we had just arrived at the property. We would have appreciated a more proactive approach and better support in resolving these issues. Overall, the location, quiet neighborhood, and spacious layout were positives, but the check-in process, limited access to keys, and lack of assistance with the maintenance issues made our stay less enjoyable.

Let me start with the positives. The back yard was awesome and had space for our large group of kids (6 young kids) to run around. The beds were also all extremely comfortable. There were plenty of tables/seating space for our group (4 families). There was an awesome neighborhood park nearby as well and it was not a far drive from La Jolla beach which was great. Some cons: the towels were tiny and there weren’t many. There were no spare bed sheets anywhere. The amenities listed weren’t accurate. We saw zero toys, there were maybe 3 random books, the only entertainment was the tv’s and a gaming system with games only suitable for adults (GTA). The cookware was also limited. I’m grateful our friends brought their own blackstone because there was no propane tank and the largest pan was pretty small in size. The check in process was not the best in my opinion. I was wondering why I hadn’t received the door code by check in time and hadn’t realized I’d been sent a list of “common sense rules” that I needed to agree to before being sent the door code. The rules were like no underage drinking and not parking on the street even though I had reached out prior to the trip to ask if parking would be an issue as we had 4 cars for our group. They said we could use the garage, driveway and park on the street. If we stay in this area again, we probably wouldn’t stay here again.
