âThe staff were friendly and extremely helpful, the breakfast well set out and good choice of exception food, bed comfortable and beautiful view from window.â
âI stayed at the Bike & Boot Hotel in Scarborough as a solo traveller and couldnât have felt more welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and perfect for someone exploring on their own. The staff were approachable and helpful without being overbearing, which made checking in and settling down really easy.
The location is spot onâright between the beach and town centreâso everything is within walking distance. I spent my days exploring the coastline and came back each afternoon to free cake...

âRebecca is the best! Whatever you want/need sheâs there! Had a problem with the bedside lamp - she fixed it, injured my knee, she fed me (not for free I hasten to add before scores of people want the same!). She cooked my breakfast and made sure I was made to feel VERY welcome. Sort of sorry to leave!â
âMy husband & I stayed 4 days.The apartment was spotless.Beds very comfortable.Small park opposite so not overlooked.Kitchen well equipped although a few dishwasher tablets wouldâve been welcome.Nice to have some tea bags/coffee/ sugar & milk very welcome on arrival.The lift goes straight into the apartment.For us an elderly couple it was appreciated although bear in mind there are a number of steps up to the front door,there is a hand rail.The Cliff Railway is at the bottom of the road.Easy...
âWe had an excellent stay whilst attending a concert at the open air theatre. The room was clean with everything you needed, a well stocked tea and coffee tray with biscuits and two bottles of water. There was also toiletries in the bathroom although we used our own. The bar itself was great, lovely choice of drinks and food. Great band were playing on the Saturday night, great friendly atmosphere. The breakfast in the morning was first class, lots of choice and well cooked. We wouldnt hesitate...
âIt was just me and my son for an overnight stay. I hadn't paid for a sea view room and ended up with a large corner ensuite room with free tea/coffee,(Kettle). When we left the room the door wouldn't lock so went to reception to report it,in the meantime I went to get my car as I'd got a space in the hotel car park (very limited spaces ÂŁ6.00 for the night).Back at the hotel they gave us another room a sea view with no extra charge. "The reception employees were not service minded during check in and out. I arrived at 11 am and asked about the possibility of early check in (anytime before 15:00 even paid for). The receptionist asked for my name and once I gave it, the reply was No, it's fully booked even though:
- he didn't even check.
- a couple that he helped before me got to check in.
- when I came back in the evening and asked for a floor fan, the evening receptionist said he'd look for any available in the "unoccupied rooms". Concluding that morning receptionist lied and the hotel wasn't actually fully booked. "
