“Sixteen of my family and friends have just spent a long weekend in very sunny Scarborough (May 2023). Seacrest Lodge was the perfect venue for our party and due to my parents poor mobility, the accessibly of Seacrest was ideal. Several of our party walked into Filey and Scarborough along the coastal walk/Cleveland Way which they utterly enjoyed. Younger party members caught a bus into Filey for a Steampunk Weekend or drove into Scarborough and returned for an early evening soak in the hottub....

“Acacia Breezes gave us everything and more to make for a very comfortable and spacious stay.A good location for an easy stroll into Scarborough via the cycle/hiking path ideal for the dogs.Will definitely stay again.”

“We only stayed for three nights but had a lovely time. We travelled by train to Scarborough and then taxi to the cottage and then used buses to visit various places which worked well. Plough Inn in Scalby village was excellent for dinner and the local shop very handy as in walking distance. Daisy’s tea room do very good breakfast ! We would definitely recommend the cottage .”

“We all loved the location and how spacious the house is. We were also impressed by how well equipped the kitchen is. But with the exception of one bedroom, the beds were incredibly uncomfortable and desperately need new mattresses. The house is lovely but generally looks tired and is in need of a facelift. The same can be said of the garden and the garden furniture as its present condition is not at all inviting.”

“We spent 3 nights here (myself and my two young sons). This cottage was plenty big enough with everything we needed and lovely and clean. The boys loved that they had their own floor with a shower room and also the best views of the harbour! The designated parking space was tiny and I had to pay to park in a public car park the whole time instead (at time of writing that is £9/24hrs in any car park, which isn’t bad). “We liked the central location. Pleasant stay but there were some hiccups. No front gate and no handhold to help over front step. The kitchen although reasonably well equipped was a bit like being in a goldfish bowl. Totally bare windows. Wouldn't like to be there in the dark nights Only 6 chairs around the dining table for a party of 8. Only 4 or 5 people could sit comfortably in the sitting room. Lack of hanging space in the bedrooms. Upstairs shower leaked into the kitchen. Kitchen did lack...
