This cottage sits at the back of a 5000 square feet fully fenced backyard, flanked by two mature apple trees that bear juicy sweet apples in the fall. Located steps away from downtown Ballard and right across from Safeway and Ballard market, it offers a perfect combination of privacy and walkability.
Access to the cottage is through a separate fenced entrance to the right of the main house in front. There is a paved path that leads to the cottage. The cottage has its own keypad lock, so guests can go in and out as they please.

*House Rules*
- Strictly no unauthorized guests or parties, or loud noises after 10pm. We have neighbors next door who will call the police and alert us fairly quickly.
- Quiet hours after 10 pm
- No shoes in the house
- Please help to keep the space clean and be respectful of our beautiful home :)
**Please note that this cottage has one bed, accommodating 2 guests. An extra (third) guest can sleep on the couch, and we also have a pack 'n play available for a child.**
Guest access
Guests can access the cottage and the large green yard space around the cottage. Please do not disturb the people in the main house.
PLEASE NOTE:
> Please note that the main house up front does have a friendly pup Pablo onsite, and he sometimes shows up in the yard and could come say hi! If you dislike dogs, please take note!
> We do not offer cooking condiments but you are welcome to buy anything you need from a nearby grocery store.
> You are welcome to use our grill but have to procure your own gas tank!
> We utilize the triple sheet methods for all our beds, which means we do not usually use fitted sheets or duvet covers. This ensures all your linens are fresh and clean (you might be surprised to know that without the triple sheet system, some hotels/hostels actually do not change their duvet covers!)
> Please note that Seattle is fairly temperate even in summer so we may not have portable AC set up by default, but we will provide and set up portable AC upon request on warmer days.
> The basic pricing per night is for 2 guests. Each additional guest requires $15 per person per night. The additional guest fee goes toward accommodation necessities such as utilities, supplies, and tears and wears on the property. VRBO should automatically calculate the accurate nightly pricing for you according to the number of guests inputted under "guests".
> Pets are welcome! Please note that we charge $150/pet per stay.
> Our house is located on a lush backyard with lots of greenery. During rainy seasons, you may find some ants and insects seeking shelter from the rain! Our properties have routine pest control services but please take note of this as a minor FYI for what we cannot control.
> If you book within 24 hours of check in, please note that we may not be able to guarantee a 4pm check-in depending on our cleaning teamâs schedule and if there is a same-day turnover (it may be delayed up to 6.30pm). Please check with us after booking to confirm your check in time.

We are happy to accommodate same day bookings! However please check in ahead with us on available check in time for same day bookings only.

Check-in time is at 4 pm and check-out time is by 11 am. We cannot guarantee early check-ins since there may be another guest checking out on the same day, but we can let you know on the day itself if it is available.
* NO SHOES INSIDE *
Please kindly remove your shoes while entering our house! We appreciate that you are taking care of our house!
* NO SMOKING *
Please do not smoke inside our home or within 20 ft of the perimeters! Any signs of smoking will result in additional violation fee.
* QUIET HOURS AFTER 10 PM *
Please be respectful to our neighbors and try to keep noise down after 10 pm!
* NO PARTIES OR UNAUTHORIZED GUESTS*
We kindly ask you not to throw parties at our house. Please help to keep the space clean and be respectful of our beautiful home :)
* TRASH IN THE RIGHT BINS *
Please sort out trash and dispose it into appropriate bins. Please leave it in inside cans if youâre not sure where to throw it and our cleaners will take care of it.
* LOST & FOUND *
Please double-check that you have all personal belongings before you leave! If you leave something behind, weâre happy to assist under the following conditions:
- We do not guarantee that lost items will be found, as housekeeping may not always recover them.
- If found, items can be shipped to you for a $35 handling fee plus shipping costs.
- Lost and found items will be held for up to 2 weeks after check-out. After this period, unclaimed items may be discarded or donated.
* NO MAILBOX ACCESS *
We do not offer mailbox access unless it is a long term stay, but package deliveries left at the door are up to guest discretion. Please note that we cannot be responsible for any lost or inaccessible packages!
