Sedgefield Racecourse

Stayed in Saddleback suite, lush big stand alone bath, with seperate (powerful) shower, huge comfy bed, all plugs had USB fittings, well decorated, comes with a fan for the warmer weather, views to the back of Blencathra. Nice big beer garden to enjoy a drink or 2. Perfect location for a bus into Keswick or starting point for a walk, Threlkeld to Keswick railway route 4 miles straight into Keswick. Really nice breakfast the next morning with a slightly later and much appreciated 10.30 kick out. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very very nice stay and 100% we will be returning.

Couldn’t fault our stay at the Borrowdale Gates. Absolutely a most memorable stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mary Mount Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious enough for us and our dog. The hotel is in a wonderful location. The views of the mountains and Derwentwater are brilliant, and there is a footpath directly behind the hotel, which was perfect for walking our dog every morning. Keswick town centre is also less than a 10-minute drive away. The restaurant and bar were excellent and were one of the highlights of our stay. There were a few areas that could be improved. The room felt a little dated, the shower pressure was quite weak, and our room was not serviced even though we hung the housekeeping tag on the door. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The friendly staff, beautiful scenery, dog-friendly surroundings and great location made it a very enjoyable trip, and we would be happy to stay again.
