Don’t miss this free museum in Shasta. It’s run by the state forest service and was actually a store from the 1800’s. What’s really cool is that the park service bought the building and contents and have it set up like it actually was in the 19th century. Feels like stepping into ‘Little House on the Prairie’

Old meat storage. Ice would be brought and filled to keep meat fresh. Little further to the right from the brick buildings in the hill

Samtida, medvetet, snyggt. Fantastiskt hotell med trovÀrdighet i profilen tech och hÄllbarhet. Snygga rum, sköna sÀngar. Rent. Tunna dörrar mot korridoren men relativt tyst hotell. The I-5 corridor in northern California can be pretty bleak in the summer months, but you can still find an oasis here and there. This one is west of Redding, maybe about a half-hour off the Interstate. Drive west on highway 299, past Whiskytown Lake and look for a sign for Crystal Creek. This multi-tiered waterfall surrounded in green is just the thing! TRAVEL TIP: Have a long, overnight flight coming up? Check out the various travel pillows that let you lean forward and plant your face into them! I used one on my last trip to India, and was amazed at how well I slept! #California #waterfall #escape #lifeatexpedia
