Short trip to Siesta Key over the 4th of July . Great spot on the key and close to beach .

Nice place with everything you need . In a quiet neighborhood. And the price is very reasonable.

Absolute nightmare of a home

This is the worst and I mean worst place I have ever stayed but I did not have high expectations. I knew from the pictures it would be outdated but even the pictures are deceiving. The home smells of mold and mildew. It was not clean. The wood on the walls looked like termites had been eating on it. Light bulb had an actual bandaid over it where it was cracked. The water came out brown in the bathroom, the shower spit sprays of water out. The list goes on. I hate giving bad reviews but this one deserves every bit of it. I reached out to the property manager with no response after the first day to let her know about everything and that we were checking out. No response and had been very responsive prior to check in. We had to pack up and go pay for another place to stay for the week. Lost lots of time and money on this trip that was suppose to be a bonding time for our family.

No frills

The property was basic, as we expected, clean and well appointed but a few details rankled us. The dishwasher was broken. The bikes were very rusty. Or unavailable or locked in a shed. And the frying pans — which we use often for breakfasts — need replaced. There’s no view, which we expected, but would seek one next time. Still, it was clean and except for pans well appointed.

Sunshine and Sandy Shores!!

My wife and I had a wonderful week! The property is ideally located away from the busy streets but still close enough to ride bikes back and forth. This property IS a shared property however which was not made obvious on the listing. There is an upstairs unit directly above which was noisy at times especially at night. So be aware of that.

cute and efficient

Property was clean. Was a little annoying that there was no door to the bedroom so made it harder with teenage girls getting ready with a man in the house. The shower door seems to let water seep out so we had to keep mopping and also dishwasher was marked out of order.

Property not as described

Upon arriving it was clear the listing pictures provided were taken prior to the havoc brought on by last hurricane. The backyard foliage was all dead, clay pots with dead plants scattered across the backyard certainly did not give off relaxing vibes where the kids could run and play. The shed that stores extra paper towels and toilet paper appeared to be covered in mold. Once we got into the condo we realized there was no sofa bed as advertised. We booked it for 2 adults and 2 kids. Owner was made aware that we booked assuming there were sleeping arrangements for 4…her response was the sofa sleeper was destroyed in the hurricane and the listing hadn’t been updated. She did agree to pay for an air mattress that we picked up but that made for a stressful first day! Her initial suggestion was for my kids to sleep on the sectional couch or we could not stay there. Not an option after planning and traveling to Siesta Key during busy spring break week. We were given 4 big towels and 4 wash cloths for a 5 day stay for 4 people. When asked for more was told the hurricane destroyed a lot of the properties linens. They did bring additional new towels after a few days. The dishwasher did not work the entire time we were there. We also had to let owner know the shower leaked like crazy because there were several areas that were not sealed off properly. The property looks run down, needs some TLC and listing needs to be updated so people know what they are really booking.

Cheap place to stay in siesta key

The housekeeper did a great job keeping the house clean property is old and not fancy but siesta Keys usually pretty expensive so if you don't care, no biggie

Nice place

Central air or laundry wud had been nice, one bike had flat tire another had the chain off, the $20 black rusted bike worked. No fan or exhaust in bathroom. Windows all along front side and back of house with no dark blinds, bedroom had window covering that didn't go to the floor. Upstairs is another rental where you hear everything and no shower pressure. A small stove but a GIANT TV, I never watched.

What a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful week! We enjoyed this property very much! It is in a beautiful neighborhood! It was very calm and quiet and safe! One mile into the village and to sunset beach, which was a quick easy and fun bike ride each time for my children and me. The bikes provided were such a nice thing to have. The rental itself was clean and fully supplied with all that was needed. The bed was very comfortable and the pull out couch was great for my kids. The communication with the owner was very easy and response time was quick! We enjoyed our stay so very much and will definitely be back to Tangerine Dream! Thank you!

Inside property nice outside terrible

The inside of the property was average, outdated. It is in a very nice upscale neighborhood but the property is an eyesore. Looks like no yard work has been done for years. I would be embarrassed if I owned it. Be aware the washer listed is coin operated. It is not central air but two window units. Again it was an average property close to a beautiful beach.

Clean, cute, but some issues

I guess there was a double booking situation, and we were moved into the upper unit, which would not have been a big deal at all, but there were some issues. The biggest issue being the broken A/C unit, it was ungodly hot in the livingroom, dining room, and kitchen. Thankfully, the A/C unit in the bedroom worked, otherwise we would not have stayed. The bathroom sink was leaking quite a bit. Communication seems to be a difficultly for this property, as there is a new management team. This unit was very cute, and very clean. I would not recommend this rental to someone who won’t have a car there, it seems very close to Siesta Village, and the beach… but there really isn’t a safe way to walk there.

Tangerine Nightmare

Honestly, the apartment would have been adequate, if it had been ready. Check in was at 4pm, my husband and I had been up since 3:30 am, spent the day at the beach, expected to check in, freshen up and go to dinner. Unfortunately, housekeeping had not yet been there. We called Debbie, she was nice enough, apologized, told us to go to dinner, she would contact housekeeping, should be done by the time we returned. We decided to wait a bit, hoping housekeeping would come so that we could at least unload our stuff. While we waited, we investigated the beach chairs that we planned to use the next day. The chairs were rusty, dirty and broken. Still no housekeeping, called the owner, Debbie, back to see if she had spoken to housekeeping, she had not been able to reach them. I told her that I was concerned that we would not have a place to stay. Debbie said, "if you're that worried, you can go somewhere else". I was shocked!! Seriously!!! So, I asked her if we were to do that at her expense...she again said to go to dinner and the unit should be ready would we returned. Note that we did consider cleaning it ourselves, but there were no clean bed linens or toilet paper etc. available. So, we went to dinner, returned at 7pm......still no housekeeping. We called Debbie, multiple times, she did not answer, called the two other numbers available. Mark finally answered. He was very apologetic, was concerned that they had ruined our vacation. We told him that we were leaving and we would appreciated a full refund. He agreed. We did get a refund of most of our money, they conveniently kept the taxes & fees, but at this point, we had a wonderful time in Siesta Key, stayed at a beautiful hotel and I'd really rather forget about the Tangerine Nightmare. Overall, the place would be decent, but Debbie needs to learn customer service and the owners should have made sure that the unit was available for the next paid guest. We've stayed at many VRBO's, never had an issue, but this experience will make me think differently and I honestly don't know if we will use VRBO again.

Inconvenienced

Overall experience was good. Lack of communication by owner when visiting (several visits) property. Removed television and did not replace when they could have waited one day after we had left to keep everyone from being inconvenienced.
