“The area was a surprise, the countryside was beautiful, lots of interesting walks and things to do. Eating out was a highlight with so many fantastic places to eat. Best fish and chips in the uk at the Salt and Malt. The host was very hospitable and made us feel at home. We would highly recommend staying here. ”

“Leaze Garden Cottage was excellent , well equipped and super clean.The garden space had plenty of seating area for sunny afternoons .Ideally situated for Bath , Wells and Bradford -on-Avon.Frome is just a 10/15min walk , with plenty of artisan shops and cafés. We had a lovely 3 days stay .”

“We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful house for a friends reunion. The house is charming, comfortable, with great communal areas and cosy bedrooms. It’s well placed near a train station, and a great walk. We loved the fireplace and the hot tub which created a great atmosphere and kept us warm in winter.”

“The cottage is a beautiful place in a quite and peaceful locations , the cottage is clean and nicely styled . Ideal for family and business use . The owners are always on hand to help and only a phone call away . 100% will re- book . ”

“We were celebrating my wife’s 70th birthday, and wanted comfortable and special accommodation for family members and friends. We also wanted to be able to enjoy a grand meal together for up to 14 of us. Compton House was perfect for us - a very unusual and lovely property. Our host was very responsive and very helpful in every way. Thank you so much Patricia, we really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful house.”

“Lovely, quirky little cottage in a quiet village. Near enough to Frome to have everything available that you may need, but far enough away to feel like you are away from the crowds. The cottage has lots of features and would be no good for anyone who struggles with staircases and is over 6 feet tall but there were most things that you need for a comfortable stay. We even had a kingfisher land on the patio fence a couple of times. All in all we would recommend this place.”

It is spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything one could need, from books, to games and maps and magazines. The property itself is gorgeous, quirky and very well equipped with everything you need and more. “We really enjoyed our short stay at the Carthouse. It's a lovely property in Axbridge, with Cheddar Gorge within easy reach. Communication with Val was excellent and also waited on the side of the road to show us the entrance to the side road. The Carthouse was spotlessly clean and Val had left several thoughtful items to get us started including bread, milk, wine and cider! Thank you Val, it was much appreciated. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this lovely property.”

“Terrible property - due to stay here for 5 nights but posed such a health risk that we left immediately and checked in elsewhere at great expense. Sacks of rubbish left, outdoor dining area unusable, dangerous shower, bedroom fans covered in thick dust and mould. Is not as described - is a mid terraced property, not semi-detached as the pictures suggest. Neighbours garden full of trade waste and arguing with each other so would have been unpleasant to sit outside. Undesirable area. Do not stay...

“We stayed for two nights for our annual visit to Longleat, which is only about 15 minutes drive away The house was in perfect condition and very old and rickety yet full of high-quality modern appliances It was a very relaxing and enjoyable short stay. I would recommend it to anybody.”
