âThis is very well appointed, the owners have covered all the small things that you would want in a room. Some lovely touches and room is very welcoming look when you arrive.â
âA charming stay in a beautifully restored old coaching house. This family-run hotel is warm, cozy, and full of character. The atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you arrive, with friendly owners who go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food is excellent, homemade, hearty, and full of flavour.

âChecking in was easy and the staff at the reception was welcoming and friendly. I was only surprised we had to pay a refundable deposit of ÂŁ50, Iâm not sure I saw that during booking. The room was in excellent condition and our son had his own little corner which he really loved. Breakfast was ok and we ordered an omelette which was very tasty. Iâd rate our stay 8 out 10. â
âRooms where clean and comfortable however bathroom door had some damage and two bandaids where holding and covering the damage not so fresh. Had a long day if meeting and tried to order room service but never got through on the room phone to room service so had to ho down stairs to order something to eat when I just wanted room service and a good night sleep . Bed was comfortable but pillows only ok â

Bar usually close 2200 but if event on it 0100 we had euro blues festival.

âDon't let initial looks deceive you, this was a pleasant surprise and experience. Friendly staff, very comfortable bed, clean linen and towels, and a hearty, well needed buffet breakfast the next morning. â

Otroligt mycket ljud frĂ„n gatan utanför, som vĂ€ckte en frĂ„n 5:30 pĂ„ morgonen och Ă€ven pĂ„ natten nĂ€r nĂ„gon körde förbi. Trots att vi redan betalt, ville de att vi skulle betala för rummet igen. â
âAmazingly large and typically quaint old coaching inn under new and energetic management. We stayed because of proximity to Althorp House. Stand out feature is the food at typical pub prices but far from typical. It was superb and makes it a destination in itself. Such a pleasant change to eat real home cooking and not some chilled and reheated offering.
Full English breakfast included in room rate and also superb. â
âMy friend and I loved everything about this hotel. The staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful. The spa area and outside space were very relaxing and we loved our room which was very spacious and had everything that we needed. We will definitely go back â
âReally nice place. My wife and I spent an enjoyable few days in the area and despite a wedding being held at the hotel the weekend we were there, there was no problem with noise or access to facilities. Lovely restaurant, grounds, spa and staff. â
âPerfect for our one night stop-over enroute to another venue. It's quite a big, old building with some quirky features but we had everything needed in our room which was well presented. Staff were personable. Breakfast was good. The hotel sits on a one-way road system. It's compact car park is to the rear of the property. If you miss the hotel car park sign on approach and pass the hotel on your left, follow the one-way clockwise, turning left just before the hotel. â

"Arrived everything was locked and closed no contact number ⊠was booked in for the week but first might had to go and stay at another hotel. Hotel would not refund the first night . Second night stayed after being completely locked out only to have a rock hard bed and a room that was freezing cold with no heater and a toilet that didnât flush properly. Woke up hurting as the bed was so hard. Breakfast the eggs were undercooked and they put cheese on them couldnât eat them . "
