Home away from home

Absolutely would stay again! The host is fantastic....so nice, excellent communication and she really has thought of everything! If we thought we may have left something at home...she had it there for us...even for the dogs! The dogs enjoyed their stay and getting a few romps on the beach, which is just across the street, hanging out on the porch and potty breaks in the dog run. Our 2yo nephew had just about everything he needed as well! It was so nice to arrive and be ready to hit the beach.Comfortable home with everything you need. Convenient to the beach and a few blocks from the bridge to local shops, restaurants and ice cream shops everywhere! We hope to make this an annual trip for our family and would definitely come back to 1 Happy Turtle!

Love this place

This place was perfect for my gang! The beach access was right across from the house. The house had everything we could possibly need! Great communication from the owner. Looking forward to booking 1 Happy Turtle next year. Highly recommend!!

Perfectly stocked

Just got back from our stay. The home is stocked like a home, not a rental. You truly can just bring your clothes then go pick up some food when you arrive. Barbara is quick to respond for any need, which is wonderful. Looking forward to returning.

The Perfect Shell

My adult children and our dogs spent Christmas together here. It was perfect! The host has so many small touches that made us feel welcome! The dwelling itself felt so homey and everything you might need is there. The beach view is great and it is such a short walk to get to the beach. We had an amazing time and will definitely come back. It was the perfect shell for my family of turtles!!

Absolutely love this house

My family and I loved our stay at One Happy Turtle. The house was so clean and well stocked with just about anything you could ever want or need. Excellent communication with the owner and a very short walk to the beach. Perfect for a family traveling with kids, grandparents and dogs! We will definitely be back. Not house related but Holden is so fun for shell and shark tooth hunting. We found a ton of cool stuff!

Nice and relaxing stay

The park was just a short walk away with swingset, slides and tennis courts. The beach was also a short walk away. We could come back to the house quickly if needed. Very family friendly environment. The house was just what we needed.

Amazing stay!

This was absolutely perfect for our beach getaway! The property is just as described and only a short walk to the beach. We brought along our pups and loved the backyard and open space. There is a very small dog run area for your pup should you wish to use it and conveniently a spray hose for a quick dog clean up.

Outdated, but great location

This house has everything you need and then some. Owner was very responsive before and during our stay. The house could use some updating, but the location makes up for that. Literally steps from the beach and just a couple of minutes from the bridge to get to the mainland.

Loved the stay!

This was our first family vacation and we are so glad we picked this house! It was in the perfect location, very close to the beach! Communication with Barbara was great and we will definitely consider this property again in the future!

Name it and you have it , close to beach and pet friendly

Long time due, , we went during Spring break but reviewing it now. This property definitely needs a review. We are a family of 6 and 2 dogs, this is the best property I have been in , in so many years, not a posh property, its a simple, all you need, well thought off, well organized, you name it and you have it, well sanitized property. They had welcome treats for everyone. No complaints or concerns. This is exactly the property a family with 2 kids, 2 dogs and 2 senior parents would need. The beach is right across the street, hardly 100 steps. A decent sized fenced dog run, you can sit peacefully at the deck and not worry about them running away. Both my lab and GSD loved it. Barbara was very helpful and followed up after checkin and also the next day of our stay. She was available to us always with one text. The dogs had a blast at the beach in the mornings when no one was there. It was cold but they loved it. One suggestion, there is enough room in the backyard, with 2 sided fence and back full of thick bushes, if that could have a fence in the front, that would give more room for the dogs. That being said, we still loved it. Hope to make this a custom every spring and visit every year. Thank you. -Maddy

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We booked spur of the moment, wanting a place to getaway to for the weekend. Options were limited due to spring break, yet I am so glad we found this place! Similar to other reviews, while dated, don’t let that stop you from booking. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed. The beach access is just across the street for nice walks on the beach and enjoying the sunset in the evening. I don’t have any complaints about our stay- it was great with our young daughter and pup for a slow, relaxing, weekend away!

Barbara the guest host was fantastic told me everything we needed to know although the weather did not cooperate we had a great time and as other postings everything you needed they had there even a complimentary gift upon arrival The only drawback was the patio door did not slide really well but I had brought that up to barbara as we left other than that 5 stars all the way and we are going back next year because of the accommodations everything was clean and ready for us when we got there and it was an easy check in and out
