Thereâs no end to the outdoor activities you can enjoy here, from mild scenic hikes to ultra-athletic pursuits, and weâre not limited by season. Head out on a fall colors bike ride, ski or snowshoe, go fly fishing, or climb the fourteeners! And as for the great indoors, we have plenty of restaurants, shops and historical attractions.
Getting Around:
The Quaking Aspen is a few minutes drive to Twin Lakes Village, and a 20-30 min drive to downtown Leadville, which is very walkable. Free off-street parking is included at the home, and nearby recreation is abundant! In the winter it is best to have four wheel drive and good tires. It is always manageable to get to the home, but we want to be transparent that in the winter the roads could be snow packed.

Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.
